Ok so finished Goblins Quest. Went upstairs to guy upstairs to claim reward.
Then he say go downstairs to talk to Torvis. Torvis say go downstairs to go to guy that take you to Cormyr. Guy downstairs say that must go upstairs to pick deity before can enter Cormyr.
Have searched, scoured talked to everybody, no see option to pick deity. List of Deities with downstairs guy.
So seem like trapped, cant figure out how to pick deity. Cant figure out how to get inside, go to Cormyr.
Help please?
Mike

You mean all the signs with the Deities listed on them right?
If you mean something other then those signs, then what?
Cant click on signs to select deity.
And if something else, then why does Fenton tell you to go upstairs to select deity if deity selection thing is downstairs with Fenton downstairs, like you say?

You can also select your diety in the main server "welcome room" which we all spawn into after finishing the tutorial outpost.

Err, If I remember correctly it should be on the ground floor. But it has been some time since I passed a new character through there, so it may be somewhere else in the building. It is a very obviously named placeable, something like "Deity Selection Device". Well I looked, Scoured everywhere, talked to everyone. Didnt see a device named Deity Selection Device. That or had no clue, didnt know what was looking for, what device looked like, etc. As far as I knew it could have been a person I needed to talk to, or if a device, could be anywhere. Just dont get why Torvis sends you donstairs when he could say oh you'll need to use this device here to pick deity before going to Fenton. Or Fenton could say you will need to use a device between Torvis and Captain on ground floor to pick deity before I can send you to Cormyr. Easier, Simpler, less confusing, better. I'll see if I can find the device, pick deity, etc

You can also select your diety in the main server "welcome room" which we all spawn into after finishing the tutorial outpost. Its not that desperate to select Diety. Its just that if dont select diety, then apparently Fenton or whoever downstairs that Torvis was, is talking about cant or wont take you to inside Cormyr, and would be trapped outside Cormyr at the Outpost FOREVER

No wonder I couldnt find the deity picker device it looks like one of those teleportation portals inside a halo of light running from ceiling to floor, that sometimes see in other PW's.
I clicked on it to see if it would teleport me into cormyr.
Now that finally found it.
Question about picking deity.
My toon is a LE Monk that either going to be a Monk/Ranger/SD or a Monk/Ranger/Assassin
So I saw a Deity named Ulutlu that is LN that has Animals as portfolio.
None of the other animal, nature Deities are, were compatible: Mielikki NG Silvanus N MALAR CE.
So is LE close enough to LN to be compatible
Its either that or LE Bane
Or the LE deity of Political Corruption
But those dont seem good fits for being a Ranger
The LN Deity would seem the best fit for all 3 classes Monk/ Ranger SD or Assassin
While Bane or the LE deity of politics seems only good for SD or Assassin
What think?

Well I guess I can change it later if not a good fit, so will take the LN nature Deity for now.

Rangers don't have to follow nature deities like druids do, and if I remember correctly, monks are not restricted by deity or deity's alignment unless they're in an order (someone please correct me if that's incorrect).
I think you can just pick whichever deity best suits you based on its portfolio. While choosing a LE, LN, or NE deity (all of which allow LE clerics, so monks shouldn't be an issue) is an obvious choice, a monk of a CE deity might be interesting.

and if I remember correctly, monks are not restricted by deity or deity's alignment unless they're in an order (someone please correct me if that's incorrect). You don't have to be the same alignment as the order, though you'll have an easier time fitting in the more closely aligned you are. Monks are devout disciplined followers after all; so deviating from the traditions of the order might be viewed down upon by your fellows, depending on the order. True... what I had in mind was something like a very small group of monks following Cyric. The CE clerics in the hierarchy may dislike them (and need to use the NE clerics as go-betweens most of the time), but you can bet they'll use them.

If you publicly mention awesome ideas like that DOT is gonna run off and make yet more alts! Hmmm...

To the left of Torvis, your right when you approach the desk, there is a cross that has a scripted dialogue when you interact with it. Sometimes its a little buggy and you will have to restart the script.
