17/10 DR 1382
I have finally decided I will be remaining within Cormyr after just short of three weeks being here already. By Morradin's name I can feel it in the ground. My lost home, it must be here somewhere. Besides, this land is plagued with enemies of Dwarvenkind, I would not be doing my duty if I did not aid somehow.
I am not alone in this endeavour. I've met plenty of allies. Nelmyria, Dust and a magic-user by the name of Bogi have been my strongest so far. I can't help but admire Nelmyria. Her zeal and devotion to Torm is impressive, though it may well end up getting her killed sooner or later. Dust will be handy in that regard. A priest of Jergal, a God I wasn't familiar with until meeting him. He taught me not all Thayans are monsters.
I've met plenty more people who come and go. Nelmyria has been with me since my arrival within Cormyr. But there were others, seemingly gone but I am sure they are well. I've met a handful of my kinsmen, some from Clan Oghrann and a couple from abroad. I will admit I do wish to seek them out further to see if they know of any lost Dwarven Holds but I have not found managed to find the time.
The humans around here are just as tenacious as any Dwarf I've met. The Purple Dragons and Monster Hunter Corps seem to be very impressive. I've met two squires so far, Octavian, who is a good fellow who I can tolerate despite relying on Magic. The other I'm still dubious of, Kaliyah is her name. A woman with Draconic features... something to watch out for. Nonetheless she did sell me some gear, so she can't be all bad.
In the future I've promised Nelmyria to speak with some Lord I've already forgotten the name of, perhaps through him I can get some more answers. As for now though, continuing to hunt Goblin, Orc and Giant all in Clangeddin Silverbeard's name is all I can do, and I intend to do so.
