EE looks best with worlds like FRC who use cep and/or custom haks. Vanilla nwn not so much.

Couple of questions:
If added, how will EE affect FRC as a whole?
Will FRC add Haks outside of CEP?
Is FRC compatible with EE already, if not, what changes will have to be made in preparation?

Cheers, B Hi DBB, On the whole I'd say FRC would be mostly the same at conversion. There will be some mild improvements to graphics and a some bug fixes to the core game that Beamdog has put in. It should be easier to play on newer computers, we'll be listed on Gamespy through Steam, and therefore more easily accessible to the broader NWN community. Hakpaks will be easier to adopt as subscribing to FRC on Steam will automatically upload the hak files to our players' game directories. This means FRC probably will adopt more haks in due course, judiciously. Conversion is a process that is under way. Will the player limit be raised? I think it is maxed at 40? I am not saying we may get up that high, but it seems other ee have gone to at least 60.

The player cap used to be 64. I can remember events where people struggled to get onto the server, because the 64 player cap was maxed. I guess I never realized that had been changed. By the way I'm in the unsure category. I'll probably end up buying EE if and when FRC converts, but overall I feel like EE is more or less like polishing a turd. Sure it's nice and shiny, but it's still a turd. Speaking about the age and graphic capabilities of NWN and not about FRC.  |

Buying from Steam may make things easier in some ways, but we should be able to get your game working. alright..i should have said a little bit more. Game is downloaded. i have not however tried to login anywhere. maybe should try logging into a server and see if it lets me? see what problems i might have?

sorry sergeil, i dont mean to confuse you. i dont really have any problems as of yet. I have logged into another server and played for about 20 minutes. I had no issues. I will tonight download the cep.
