Arician stands watch before the construction sites of the northwest district. His armor glows faintly in the lamp light as his face shines, metallic blue material covers over his visible skin leaving a nuetral expression.
His eyes flick over this and that as the summer evening draws onward.

*Large walls are being constructed around the Baron's Manor along with a sturdy metal gate. Grass goes in between the walls and the manor and large black stone is laid as a pathway*

Lorren has been spending most of her days in the city, taking her deputization by Inquisitor Steel quite seriously. Her time is either spent walking the trade streets, making her presence seen in the lesser traveled back roads and alleys, or observing the ongoing construction. On one of her rounds, she would encounter the Archmage, and greet him with a small smile.
“Hail, Arician.” She spoke as she observed the supports and stones going up for the new structures. “You know, I’ve always favored the architecture of Valkur’s Roar. The dark basalt, the hard edges and imposing facades; it sends a message, I think. This isn’t a gilded golden, granite, and marble city like Immersea or the Capitol; it’s a fortress port, and doesn’t pretend to be anything else.”

He dipped his head he greeting "and hail unto you miss Lorren. True as the architecture is. Roar can be a great deal than a bastion. If one is willing to move the stones by hand"
His tone is even and his demeanor calm as he rests against a pillar watching the movements of the nights workers. "And how do you fare this eve? Any arcana to report?"

*Elith walks past, flanked on either side by two large men. Without a glance towards the construction he continues on his way toward the Imp.*

Davina walks up to Arician with a basket of food and wine.
"I didn't know what you would like my love so I packed all your favorites with two selections of wine."

“Nary spell not summon tonight, gods be good. Talbot’s and the Imp are of course in an acceptable state of rowdiness, but no drawn blades or other unusual violence. It’s amazing what sheer presence can do to promote the peace, aye?” She chuckled lightly, and fell silent so that the mage and Davina could speak.

He watched Elith pass. But then refocuses to Davina. The metal over his skin withdrawing as he smiles ear to ear at her. "You know i can't drink on duty my love. But it'll be welcome to have them close when I finish. That is good to hear thus far, even if change is slow at least it comes in waves"
He accepts the basket and pushes off the pillar "have you met my wife, Davina?" He asked Lorren as he hugged Davina warmly

*To any passing around the temple of Hoar, The sound of blades clashing in the tower can be heard infrequently. When any inquire or enter with concerns the cleric on the main floor calmly states that there is nothing to be concerned with as the guardian is following the dictates of the God of the three thunders. Local authorities have been informed that such sounds would be heard and to ignore them.*
* any who venture up to the tower met by two figures greeting them, the familiar being and a woman in teal armor. They always seem to know when visitors are walking up the steps and none yet have actually caught them in the midst of training as the sounds of training seem to stop the moment feet touch the base of the stairs coming up.*

In the Twilight Arician leans on a stone pillar nodding at the new mansion. Blue armor and red cloak gleam in the Roar's red lamp light as he puffs at his pipe slowly.

*on a few different corners throughout the last month a dwarf, a few humans, and others speak to gatherings of commoners and refugees, mostly in calm tones but those walking by the words can be heard*
...and then the plague from the woods comes and travel is shut down while the hard workers of Suzail who are good decent people, who are just seeking work to pay for food and shelter for themselves and their families, get pushed out and its all blamed on so called protection from the plague. We all are forced to become refugees living in Valkurs Roar. Who, Despite being smaller and barely able to help so many, opens its arms to help us in our night of need while the Suzail nobles shoves us away. Then after the *sarcastic tone* plague is beaten back... and by adventurers actions instead of the elite of Suzail actually helping the people for once... the city pushes through the massive project of so called beautification and refuses to let the hard workers back in. Denying the hard working people like us jobs and encourage their guards to look down their noses when we visit their parks at best and kick us out at worse.... Mark my words.... dark times are coming and the source is the high nosed Suzail nobles. Next you know them malarites that the elites allow to even have a temple in Suzail will be allowed to have a high hunt again?! I hear rumors its already coming back but they do it in small villages to avoid being caught and their corruption outted inside Suzail!
*Those listening are encouraged to spread the message and help where they can in Valkurs roar to protect them against the corruption hidden behind the beautifcation facad in Suzail as well as other rumors that favor Valkurs roar and seem very slanted against Suzail. Blame for the killings by shadows are blamed on Suzail and their disgust that Valkur's roar would dare to accept refugees and try to help them seems to be the suggested reason. Final words encourage from the speakers encourage attendance in the Temple of Hoar and the lady of pain to offer prayers of justice and knowledge to resist.*

Working quietly in the slums is a white robed healer. After listening to the agitated gossip, he offers his own wisdom
"Whoever is telling you this has missed the point that the capital has its own problems and it is bigger than this city... they have omitted to mention the homeless sleeping outside the House of Healing and that we take any refugees that come to us in the city, help is available, you only have to ask"
He moves on through the poorest areas, helping and healing anyone who asks for his assistance in the name of Ilmater. He is uninterested in anything except action and words do not distract him.

Somewhere in the slums, Henrik may see a man with the most magnificent mustache shouting "What?! But that was only worth three copper at best!". He'd look around at that apparently accidental raising of his voice and continues haggling in hushed tones with the woman.

*the quiet conversations on street corners continue and even the wisdom from the white-robed healers only seems to feed the frustration, people speaking to groups gathered are overheard saying... *
"Things keep getting worse... did you hear a white-robe came to help. Gods be thanked they try at least, but even they admit that suzail is the problem. The guard funnel enough to keep the house of healing in Suzail busy so they are mollified and never realize how many people aren't allowed to help... Its about time they sent someone to help here.. I hope they stay longer than a few days in Valkur's Roar..... Helping all who ask in *disgustedly spits the word out* Suzail is easy when the greater majority of those hit the hardest aren't allowed to approach! Let alone ask... damn shame the healers are kept in the dark. We need to remember our pain brings us strength! The injustices and hate the elites have for the common workers keeps going.... someone should do something about the crimes against us.. Justice needs to be served! You hear about the guard that beat a man over near that new bakery shop in Suzail... the man was trying to feed his family and was near thrown out of town after just trying to gather what the rich left behind on their tables to help his family.... " *after other similar talk and usually before the groups break up with worried looks they might get in trouble for congregating one of the speakers tells the rest before leaving* "There's a few of us meeting in the temple of The Doombringer to see if we can get one of their number to bring justice to the bastard guard that did the beating.. you should come.... "

As whispers of dissent flow through the streets, a black-and-gold-clad figure of prominence stalks into the Barren of Retribution with a purpose; a parchment gripped in her hand. She approaches the first senior clergy she sees and hands them the parchment, then turns to leave, her mood dire, her resolve unquestionable. As she leaves, she mutters loud enough for all to hear... "If they come to petition for vengeance, tell the rabble-rousers to seek me out, before they find themselves on the wrong end of things."

*the sound of blades and training being heard from the tower of the Barren of Retribution stops for a few minutes and a woman in green armor holding a long blade descends the steps and takes time to pray and speak with the cleric requesting any further details of the issues surrounding the temple or Valkurs Roar. After recieving the information she can be heard to simply state,*
"I will be of speaking to those petitioners. None to be discriminated against. Truth of the claims to be discovered. Hand of Justice be served.

On and off - at least two times a week; at dawn - an elfess clad in grays and browns and showing a lot of skin, is seen leaving the slums traveling in the north-western direction towards the northern road to Greatgaunt.
