Holance Tanars Holance could be described as athletic and in the prime of his life. He stands at 6'3 ft tall, his build is a lean one and his musculature, if visible is quite toned. Blond hair, slightly pointy ears, a straight nose and a strong chin are some of his features. His intense light green eyes, and his honest smile denote resolve, courage and kindness. Tattoos with Damaran symbols are visible on his forearms and biceps, but only when he is not wearing armor or any clothes that would cover them. A scar is visisble on one of his forearms as well, though Holance has never confirmed whether it is the result of an old battle wound or not. Even though he would be considered handsome for most standards, the accurate word to describe his appereance would be "commanding". This is probably in part because the man tends to sport a well trimmed beard (or stubble) that seems to grant him both, a more mature presence and also the rugged looks of a seasoned knight or adventurer. Most of the time, the paladin can be seen clad in silvery steel fullplate armor. This suit of armor bears the mark of Durthal Ironhand of Eveningstar, but apparently Holance has added to the design by doing some minor modifications to it. As for helms, he favors horse hair ones, though sometimes he prefers winged ones. When it comes to weapons, the knight has selected Shock and Awe, a lightning imbued longsword, to serve as his main weapon of choice. The arcane elemental energies of the blade are visble at all times. This blade can be seen hanging from his sword belt most of the time, even when he is not prepared for combat. A somewhat rusty necklace, shaped as the Armoured Gauntlet of Torm, is often visible around the neck of the man. He tends to wear attires of blue, white, silver and now green color as well. Holance is a calm and confident individual. He is polite and friendly to most, and he is extremely loyal to those who win his trust and/or his heart. Those who are perceptive enough, would notice that he can be slightly arrogant at times. Despite this, he strives to remain selfless and true in everything that he does or says. Most displays of praise and/or admiration directed at him, are either deflected or minimized as much as possible. An honest mind and a lovable innocence guide his spirit and his actions daily. As a master of the longsword, his combat style is defensive, and reactive as well. He usually grants his opponents the initiative, while he waits for the right moment to strike. His style is heavily dependant on prayers and the favor of his deity, and his expertise provides him with time to resist the attacks of his opponets, but in the end it only delays the inevitable. He considers himself first an foremost a defender, not a destroyer. Holance no longer bears the symbol of the Dvine Resurrection. In its place however lies the purple badge of Cormyte Planarnaut-Alpha 4. This badge depicts the sigil of the the Kingdom of Cormyr beneath a shooting star. |  |
