As most of the assembled forces leave the city, Kori sets to work. She begins the efforts of cleaning up, focusing first on the fires and deceased around the town. She directs those allies who stayed with a quiet determination, and continues to work despite her clear exhaustion. Several times she mentions needing to report what happened to the capital and the army, but she stays around and appears to put it off for as long as possible. Those clergy with her are directed to rest so that they can offer the dead the chance to return. Others she asks to arrange and, if possible, identify those bodies they find. The corpses of their foes are collected as well, but mostly to burn or be buried so as to avoid sickness. Only when the work is well under way does she head back to the capital. She heads straight to the War Wizard's tower, then the Purple Dragon barracks.
Those who know the Swordcaptain well could likely tell that she is highly troubled by recent events. She refuses to talk about them while she's working around the damaged town.

A few hours after the battle, Monica can be seen wandering the road between Hilp and Suzail alongside a Water Elemental. Along with it, she proceeds to summon icy winds and storms of snow to extinguish various fires small and large that the dragon strafing the marching adventurers with its breath had caused.

With a final exertion of effort Moonyava manages to shift into a water elemental where she, a few hours after the horrific dragon attack on Hilp and its people, assists Monica in putting out the smoldering dragon fires, large and small, dotting the grasslands, forest and structures all the way from the ravaged town to Suzail ...

Elon aids various allies mop up ( running into Bao, Helga, and Nyssa to name a few) the last of the red dragon forces hiding out in hilp in the hidden corners, houses, basement, castle and the burrows under the town.
Fully defeating the last of the forces of the red dragon, Elon sets up a temporary healers tent in the center of town to either patch up any crown troops or adventurers, or aid with the last rites of any dead found that cannot be id'ed or no one claims to as a monk of the Triad order.
Lastly when all duties are attended to, the final task. He gathers the dead of the foes. He gathers them all in prep for a somber funeral pyre ceremony. Even if the foes deserved death, conflict over, may the spirits be put to peace.
Prayers and hymns chanted, the pyre is lit far outside from the conflict cities of hilp and suzail but with in line of sight of the road, but still a fair distance from the road's edge.
He stays til the pyre flames ember out and grow cold, to keep the pyre going safely to the end, Silently chanting the hymns of the Triad to guide the lost dead to peace.

Weary from the battle, Marister slowly walks through the wreckage that was once a civilized town. Though arrived too late to save the people from their cruel fate, at least they were given proper deaths and pyres. He, along with others had tried to save the valiant brass but they could not. Quirin was finally free and he was glad, even though the cost was high. He had done his best to heal his injured comrades. He could not stay, the sights and sounds and stench brought back too many memories of other battles. He walked to Immersea and to charter the caravan to where he was not sure.

Before the pyre ceremony for the bodies of the defeated, Elon leaves the care of his temporary healers tent to a relief shift from the house of healing of suzail.
Elon gathers what volunteers he can to go fallen body of the brave brass dragon.
If the body is still there, he calls out to the heavens in a loud clear voice in common and draconic and elvish .... Stating he and what volunteers he has (NPC and PCs alike, join up if you want guys ^_^).
He states his full name and he is a monk of the triad order of divine resurrection, and he will carry the body respectfully to the Bahamut shrine near the east gate of suzail.
He does this before and during the carrying of the body.
If challenged by a metal dragon he will humbly submit to its wishes in regards to the brass dragon their fallen comrade.
Otherwise he bares the fallen brass on his shoulders with others who will help and brings the brave one to shrine of Bahamut, there leaving the fallen in the care of those following the grand platinum one.
He returns soaked in more blood, blood of the defeated foes, blood from healing wounded allies, and now blood from baring a hero of dragon kin and kind.
Much to be done and freely so with these humble hands. Even if the fighting is over, this troubled place will know a mortal of the triad was here.
So...for the moment at least.... I cast you out oh troubled heart of mine...go forth and return not till in this place ... duty and compassion is met and attended to in full.
In this place.
In full.

After some resting, an recoup-er-atin, and a lot of drinking. Furin returns to his search. Digging in the dragon blasted forest. If questioned why, he will say.
"Well on account of our failure to slay the Red Devil Worm...
Stupid Dragons..."
*He then picks up a black lump of melted glasslike slag. Holding it between his thumb and fore finger he peers through it in the sunlight.*
"Hmmm.... "Behold! Clairity be fine, but it is far too large for a Maric Bogg's See through Cod PieceTM." *He then tosses it over his shoulder into the growing pile of overburden.* The search goes on...

Following the aftermath of the massive battle in Hilp, and grappling with the great red wyrm in order to keep it ground bound for his comrades to attack it, Taran tiredly surveys the wreckage of the city. He takes note of the large efforts at creating funeral pyres and cleaning of the fire broiled streets and sees that his work can be better given elsewhere. Accordingly, he quietly exits the battleground, leaving it to the squires and military and those who will aid them, and makes his way out into the open places, the dead lands burned by dragon fire. It is there that he turns his efforts, quietly coaxing from the blacked remains of the once fertile fields and grasslands those quiet seeds that have lain dormant so that the small creatures will have the food they require to make it through the winter. The trees dead beyond respite he passes by, but those with life still in them he places his hand upon them. Where he touches, branches straighten once more. Without sound, he calls to the creatures of the wild places that the threat is gone. Their home is safe once more, or as safe as nature allows in the ever turning roles of hunter and hunted, eater and eaten. He can be seen in the distance for days after the mighty conflict, his quiet form an ever present font of strength and reassurance that the dire pain will ease, the sun will rise, the days will turn and turn again, leaving the quiet hills only to bear witness to the birth of legends.

After all the fire and smoke, some survivors of Hilp's destruction found themselves homeless, and many sought refuge in Suzail. These refugees, now seeking aid alongside those wounded from the earlier attack on Suzail, are tired, hungry, and in need of hope. Seeing this, Bao decides to set up a public kitchen. He makes stir fried noodles with beef and vegetables, handing out bowls to all those grieved by the dragon's wrath. To the wounded guards, he offers the bowls of food with a thankful salute; to the families that lost some to the battles, he expresses his deepest condolences. The charity cooking goes well, and everyone finds some comfort in the fact that they have friends to rely on. A few guards come by to help deliver bowls to those recovering in the House of Healing. Some of those wandering the streets offer some donations, which Bao would later give to any efforts to rebuild Hilp. After some time, a child from Hilp, now orphaned, asks for a bowl. Bao kneels down and hugs the child, understanding very well what she is going through. He hands her a larger bowl and an apple, and tells her this:
"Be brave, and stay determined. Your parents love you, and that will always be with you. Live for them, ok? Make them proud."
He hands half of his collected donations to her before she hugs him again and heads off. Surely, she would grow up to become a strong and caring woman.

After Lilith is healed from the brink of deaths door, she gets up and takes 15 slows steps to a near by tree. Once there she slowly lowers herself to the ground, leaning back against the tree. Two deep breaths and she is coughing from the acrid smoke that lingers everywhere. Reaching into her pack she takes the first bottle that comes to hand. She fills her mouth, swishing the ale around then spits, and then again before tossing the bottle aside. Reaching behind her head she pulls on the red ribbon that held her hair back, releasing a small cloud of ash, as well as her hair. Then for a long time she sits, looking at the ribbon as she pulls it between her finger and thumb over and over, seeming to take notice of the devastation around her. A smile touches just the edge of her lips, then slowly it grows and grows to a wide grin. With sudden energy she bounds up and as she walks away, her grin remains.

A Cormex Delivery Rider passes through Immersea and Suzail, nailing up posters where potential survivors from Hilp may take note... The posters look very similar to those posted in Dhedluk earlier this year, with just a few words changed.

In the House of Healing, Henrik sends someone out with a note of thanks to Bao for the food given to the patients and blessing him for his kindness.
The healer is busy setting up spare cots just in case they are needed.

The Swordcaptain asks the regular Blades and Firstswords in each respective city to remove the posters as they begin to accumulate. She offers no public rationale. As Valera walks through Suzail, she notices that her advertisements has been taken down. She asks around with local merchants, innkeepers and guards if they know why they were taken down, or who may be responsible, saying she fears that she may be the target of some rude gnomes who has sabotaged her advertisements before.

The priestess clad in silver and white armor could be seen accompanying the Swordcaptain throughout the entirety of the efforts to save what they can of Hilp. From putting out fires, to dragging and piling corpses to organize those that will be buried, or attempted resurrections upon. She defers to the Swordcaptain's judgement and aids as best able, from the moment that Ixamarunmaughzeraph had fled the realm. Or so one could hope.

Returning a few hours post the battle, apparently rejuvenated enough to be of reasonable assistance now, the silent and lurking form of a hooded RCMH squire, known as Eranin to those familiar, flocks to the side of Lady Kori the Swordcaptain going about her directed orders and tasks without a word, her backpack however, bizarre as it may seem, remaining quite vocal, and bossy, during the events following.

*Marister had returned to the keep recently. He was saddened by the devastation he saw and the creatures that were inhabiting it. The dragon may have left but some of his minions remained. In his mind, Hilp was a lost cause. It would be better to establish a new Hilp elsewhere with some of the funds collected.*

*The ashes of Hilp, which contain the co-mingled remains of not only the innocent residents, but the defenders and invaders alike are suddenly sent swirling around inside the still smouldering walls of Hilp.
The sounds of combat resounds off the tomb like surrounds of the town as forces, magical and natural strive to restore balance. Winged Kobolds, giant kind and other strange monsters all fall to a whirlwind of elementals, a huge magically enhanced dire wolf, a massive dolomite construct and a furious ball of divinely powered adamantine clad dwarf.
The head of a deranged half dragon man is lobbed off of the top of the Keep, kicking up a small cloud of ashes as it lands with a wet crunchy thud at the feet of some soon to be very dead giant kind.*

The dragon's minions pay no heed to the markings of Talos, and before long they return to the keep, drawn to the scorched land.
Soon after the dwarf is seen departing the ruined town small pairs of eyes blink out from the blackened and burnt remains that litter the once untarnished streets. Fresh plumes of smoke seep up from the earth and for a short time, the town is obscured.
