Hey.
I remember reading somewhere on the forums that the HiPS timer decreases in seconds the more levels you invest in the class. Is it true? What are the numbrz?
K. Thanks. Bye.

Hey. I remember reading somewhere on the forums that the HiPS timer decreases in seconds the more levels you invest in the class. Is it true? What are the numbrz? K. Thanks. Bye. Prior to the most recent HiPS changes, it was: 12 seconds cooldown at level 1 shadowdancer 9 seconds cooldown at level 5 shadowdancer 6 seconds cooldown at level 10 shadowdancer 6 seconds cooldown at levels greater than 10. When the !hips command was introduced and the HiPS feat removed, the timer was changed. The current timer is 45 seconds divided by SD level, minimum 9. So it currently caps at a minimum of 9 seconds at level 5. 45 seconds cooldown at level 1 shadowdancer 22.5 seconds cooldown at level 2 shadowdancer 15 seconds cooldown at level 3 shadowdancer 11.25 seconds cooldown at level 4 shadowdancer 9 seconds cooldown at level 5 shadowdancer 9 seconds cooldown at levels greater than 5.
The timing change was not a group decision by the DM Team but handled carte blanche by the scripting DM that made the change to HiPS behavior, so there's still a chance the timing of the effect could change.

Also keep in mind that with the change, there is no longer a bizarre hide penalty/completely ooc stun applied to the character if you jump the gun on the timer.
Your character can (and should) hide normally during the cooldown, they just won't be able to hide in plain sight. Thus the timer #'s are not really directly comparable.
