A man settled along the fireside in the Regal Griffon as he scrawled with a quick hand upon a series of rough parchments. While the writ was made in haste, it spared no elegance as his hand flowed from letter to letter, etching out each word upon the page's surface. The fire crackled, the ember giving his sharp features an orange glow, black hair fallen in droves around his thin face, and eyes of an everchanging color catching the glow brilliantly as they remain pinned to the meticulous, monotonous task at hand. His shoulders rose and fall with his breathing, calm as it was. His attention occasionally diverted to the passerby that would join him, speaking softly with them, offering a faint bit of mirth amid their exchange. As he finished the writ, he rolled up the parchments and began to distribute them to inn keeps around Cormyr, later to be found on the noticeboards in the following taverns.
Regal Griffon
Tipsy Imp
Wailing Wheel
Silver Wink
Deep Delver's
Each of the parchments bore the same request.
//This trip is being set for players of level 19-29.
//A date and time will be set once all players are found.
//This is NOT a short trip, so do plan with that in mind.

Hail to those with prowess.
Hail to those with experience.
Hail to those with ferocity and want.
I have long been in search to pursue a task that few endeavor to attempt. There lies a keep in Cormyr, shrouded in history and left to decay where few will venture to touch. It is known to most by the name of Rivior's Keep, a place of desolation and corruption. It is an artifact among Cormyr, tainted by the plagues of undeath that now wander its halls in their endless romance with unlife. The castle remains on a hillside, barren of any other occupants or life. No plants, no animals...nothing. The very air around it permeates with the vile influence of its looming presence. What I seek in this is those that have the will and want to brave these hallways, and aid me in the cleansing of its interior. Perhaps some day this keep can be reused for one manner or another. Perhaps the history of the lands can be told through its exploration and influence. But so long as it remains home to corruption, it will forever be a bane to this realm.
Do not mistake yourselves in this endeavor. The undead in this keep are no small matter. Of those I have faced in Cormyr, they are by far some of the most powerful creatures I have ever encountered. They can avoid even the most well placed strikes. They can lash back out with an unyielding ferocity. Their archers have an unnatural accuracy and a deadly aim. This discovery was made all just in the very first room of the keep the last I endeavored to explore it. I fear what might be discovered deeper into its depths, but am fascinated just the same.
For those whom seek to join, I would warn you that you will be in need to be -very- well supplied for this expedition. All will be compensated with findings from the keep as a share, but I cannot promise it will be an inexpensive venture.
If you would seek to join me, I seek at least five others to accompany me. Simply leave word at the tavern you have discovered this posting at for Fenix the Faceless. I will return your message promptly if I feel you will be an asset to this expedition. I will also be updating the postings appropriately as fellowship is found.
