Arizolda thinks for a moment, but then shakes her head. "Oh, I know about gambling and folks, me sons do it all the time. But I'm sorry, darling, your acquintances didn't mention a ship. I told they might be interested in Whalekiller's Dice Den, but they didn't seem interested. Too many sharks there, they said, which I guess is true." She chuckles a little. "Very smart of them!" The Captain chuckles. "Well perhaps we'll take a look around Old Semport, see if we can find the rascals and if they'd like a rematch..." He glances at Yarrick then looks over at Voskar Mellkabbar. "He seems like an interestin' fellow, Dockmaster mentioned him, he may be good for business...who does he work for? I might pay my respects." He notices Ahmed and nods him over. "There's my business partner, Mister Ahmed, perhaps I can introduce them."

"Aah well the landlady there took a bit of an exception to me at the Squeaky Wheel. Bit overprotective of her daughter she was. Not that I was anything less than a gentleman, o' course," he adds, though the twinkle in his eye suggests otherwise.
He then returns the wink to the wench.

*rumus with no reply from the next in charge, loads his pack up makes sure its secure and tightens his armor. He makes his way off the ship to the best in town weapon smith* Hey dere me's just browsin ye scimitars... After checking the local blacksmiths for scimitars, Rumus is directed to Sharim's weapon stall in New Semport. "Scimitars?" Sharim says with a wide smile. "My good dwarf, of course I have scimitars! Finest in all of Semport, finest in all of Lantan!" Sharim shows a wide selection of scimitars from Tethyr and Calimshan, and a few Lantanese too with brass pommels shaped like cogs. Most of the scimitars are unenchanted but of good quality. There are also a few first and second circle enchanted blades, or with the odd spell on them. After Rumus has looked through the selection on display, Sharim walks to a chest in the back of his stall and takes out a scabbard in black and silver. "Perhaps this one?" he says, drawing a silver shimmering blade from the scabbard, and lowering his voice, eyebrows waggling. "This one, my friend, is Storm Pasha. Forged by a powerful sorcerer in Calimshan, long ago. A mighty air spirit is trapped within, protecting you from storms as long as you hold it. All true, Sharim does not lie. Storm Pasha is yours for a special price of twenty thousand gold pieces, only today, only today, my friend." He runs a finger along the blade. "Legends say the mighty air spirit can be released in a storm and will grant one wish concerning that storm. Twenty thousand, and it is yours, yes?" Gardrak drafts a letter to Lord Mayor Veserac SeLongrish and sends it to his office.
PM sent
Then he leaves the ship looks about for metal merchants nearby browsing wares as he does so. Most of the metal merchants Gardrak finds in the Dock District deal in copper and iron. There are also a few weapon and armour merchants in the Docks, but most of them sell mundane or lightly enchanted weapons. There are however plenty of fish mongers, fruit vendors and the odd umbrella merchant that crowd the boardwalk curving along the docks. In a narrow alley leading towards Old Semport, there is a sign for a toy shop where mechanical dolls and animals are sold. "Very smart of them!" The Captain chuckles. "Well perhaps we'll take a look around Old Semport, see if we can find the rascals and if they'd like a rematch..." He glances at Yarrick then looks over at Voskar Mellkabbar. "There's my business partner, Mister Ahmed, perhaps I can introduce them." Arizolda glances over to Voskar. "He's a secretive one, but ambitious too. Mostly deals in jewellery, ivory, and exotic things like that, but I hear he also sold copper to the Lord Mayor. As far as I know, he works for himself, or House Mellkabbar that is. Small but expanding merchant house from Athkatla." Voskar sits quietly with his calishite bodyguard, eating steamed shrimps and drinking from a tall tankard. He is dressed in an Amnian captain's outfit in rich green and red, with gold trimmed sleeves. He is lightly tanned with a clean shaven strong jaw, and dark windswept hair. His eyes are like darkest cocoa with thick eyelashes. He returns the look at Captain Blake, with a vague nod. His bodyguard, a bald and muscular calishite, wears studded leather and carries a scimitar and a whip. He has several rings in his right ear, and as he turns to look towards Neckan and Yarrick, they can see that the left side of his face has been badly scorched by fire.

*Alexial would spend all her time in the docks distract inquiring about exotic items of value merchants are seeking to acquire.* She asks few of the merchants "Is there an alchemist or perhaps an apothecary within the docks or one of the distracts here?" *She would be inquiring to alchemist or apothecary for acquire rare or exotic poisons if there happens to be either* Going about the docks, Alexial learns that the Westshore Trading Company is seeking exotic wares in Maztica, and that the SeLongrish Enterprises is Semport's largest Lantan company, and is run by the Lord Mayor's father Sambrac SeLongrish. The company seeks rare metals, crystals and gemstones, presumably for their sun mirror technology. The captain of the Golden Redeemer is always on the look out for exotic goods, but has recently finished business with the Lord Mayor, and is not known to share his plans in advance. House Alibakkar are seeking ivory, magical components, and gold. Several local merchants are looking for gemstones, metals, spices, coffee and cocoa. A fishmonger outside the Siren's Abode points the way to Zerok's Wondrous Alchemical Elixirs, where legal poisons can be bought, and perhaps more rare substances. He also notes that maybe Madame Ma'saze just a few doors away from Zerok may also have some tinctures and brews. "Ahmed might find this information useful if he hasn't already looked into such" muttering to herself as she takes note of the companies and what they are seeking. *Alexial would visit both Zerok's Wondrous Elixirs and Madame Ma'saze to see what they had available in potions and rare substances*

Seeing Alexandria boarding the ship, Kathy runs to her. The first night that bird drove me crazy. After it bit me I cast control undead on it. Now it's quiet at least. All that silly bird squawks about is sinking ships. Taking Alex to her room, she sits on the corner of the bed. The dark circles under her eyes tells that the young mage hasn't been sleeping. A stack of books sits on the floor. Half a bottle of wine sitting on the night stand, along with various fruits. She pours each of them a glass, and offers Alex some fruit. Captain Blake sent me over the wine and fruit. How has things been going on board his ship? You enjoying your trip? Wraps her arms around Alex, hugging her tightly. I've missed you. She looks up at the picture she hung on the wall. I miss him too. I should of gone with him, but I wanted to make sure this damn bird was safe. This is the second time I've had to ensure his safety. I think when we return home I'm going to take the three of us on a trip. A nice warm sunny beach where we can relax sounds good. Perhaps Captain Blake knows of a beautiful place we could go? Tell me all about your trip so far. They keeping you busy? "Mostly I am staying out of the way on Blake's ship" Sips a little wine. "Would rather be with you and Licios dear but *smirks a little* we are both aware nothing always works out exactly the way we like." "Licios will be fine dear and you need to get some sleep or your going to have trouble's casting when you are needed." *Kisses her cheek* "As for a trip with just the three of us sounds good when we all return safely to cormyr"

Gardrak finds his way to the toy shop where he peruses the mechanical dolls and animals. The sign of the toy shop reads "Clockman's Toys". In the grimy window there is a spinning porcelain ballerina and a waving mechanical bear. The shop is in a poor and shabby location, and is easy to miss. The green paint on the door is falling off in flakes, and a dirty lantern gives only the dimmest light. The noise of the docks and courtesans outside the Siren's Abode echoes in the alley. Inside, the walls are lined with shelves upon shelves of mechanical toys, mostly made in tin, pewter, brass and silver. There are knights riding horses, wizards with tiny books, demons with glowing eyes, angels with moving wings and princes and princesses who dance together. Many of them can be wind up with a key in the back, and then they will walk or do little tricks. One shelf is full of clockwork soldiers and knights that can walk and stab with tiny needle spears or swords. The shelf below is cramped by a throng of animals. Elephants, bears, lions, parrots, monkeys, horses, sheep, and sharks. Another shelf has an assortment of elven archers, dwarven warriors, orcish berserkers, goblin shamans, and most remarkable of all, a fire breathing dragon and a kraken with tentacles that can curl around your finger. There are also some ragdolls, puppets and pale porcelain dolls with painted lips, pink cheeks and clad in silk dresses. All the toys, mechanical and otherwise, are masterfully crafted, with incredible detail. Behind the counter sits an old man hunched over a mess of tiny gears and metal parts. His eyes are hidden behind copper trimmed goggles with multiple moveable lenses, as he works on a brass gnome holding a lute. His hair is white and wild, his hands callused and steady, and he has a great white beard and crooked nose. When Gardrak comes closer, the old man briefly glances up. "I am Clockman the Toymaker. Welcome to my shop." he says with a dull voice and resumes work on the toy gnome in front of him. Clockman says that Gardrak is free to look around. All the toys are for sale, or rather, all the toys are for borrowing. Clockman does not want any coin, no payment, and Gardrak may only pick one toy. He may keep it for as long as he likes, decades or centuries even, but he must promise to return it one day. He may never speak of the toy shop, even if he does not borrow a toy. He will only have to pay if the toy is lost or broken. What price? Clockman only says that they will work something out if such a time comes. Unlike the rest of Semport that is very non-magical, there is a strong magical and supernatural aura in here. "Pick one or leave, no small talk." Clockman keeps his gaze down on the gears. "Something for the grandchildren perhaps?" *Rumus looks over the scimitars of twice enchanted make and the ones with spells rendered on them, while also taking a long look at the special scimitar he pull out*
The twice enchanted scimitars and the ones with spells seem similar to what could be found in Cormyr, but they are more expensive here. The scimitar known as Storm Pasha however, is quite different. It has a second circle enchantment, and a strong aura of magic. Wind magic and runes of spirit binding, according to the symbols on the blade. Sharim grins from ear to ear. "Shall we make a deal, my friend?" "Ahmed might find this information useful if he hasn't already looked into such" muttering to herself as she takes note of the companies and what they are seeking. *Alexial would visit both Zerok's Wondrous Elixirs and Madame Ma'saze to see what they had available in potions and rare substances* Zerok's Wondrous Elixirs smells of sulphur and dried herbs. On several shelves bubbles large glass containers with colourful liquids next to bottles of preserved eels and mushrooms, or laboratory equipment. A gnome with short brown beard, bushy eyebrows and a frown on his face rushes from one table to another, tending to various cauldrons, plants and experiments. He has a bruise above his right eyebrow. "Be quick about it. I don't have all day." he snaps when he notices Alexial, and sprinkles powder into a beaker filled with green ooze. "Of course I have potions. Poisons too. Yes, yes, over there on the shelf." Zerok has plenty of potions, most that seem similar to what could be found in Cormyr, but he claims no magic is involved other than the divine inspiration of Gond. Of the more rare variants, he has potions of spiderclimb and watherbreathing, each for three thousand gold pieces per bottle. Most of the potions have an expiration date of sixty days, and of those two he only has one bottle ready of each. The poisons for sale are all mostly weak and intended for use against rats and vermin, but he also has kraken killer poison for sale, a contact poison that absorbs moisture, intended for use against sea creatures. One bottle, enough to coat a weapon twice, costs five thousand gold pieces. Love potions can also be found on the shelf for poisons, and Zerok promises that anyone who drinks them will fall in love with the first person, or creature, they see, for the fair price of five thousand gold pieces. Zerok also claims that he has potions of youth, that will make your body up to twenty years younger. "This is real. Not like that machine oil they sell at the Temple of Gond. Five thousand lions per bottle." As Alexial enters Madame Clarise Ma'saze's True Sights, she has to duck to not hit her head in dream catchers hanging from wooden beams above. It is dark inside Madame Ma'saze's house, the only light source being a firepit in the dirt floor. An old chultan woman sits cross-legged behind the fire, humming to herself. Her dark skin is wrinkly like old leather, and her black hair reaches her knees. She wears a blindfold with white eyes painted where her eyes should be. A third eye is painted on her forehead. "Our meeting has been foreseen, but your motives are shadowed." she says with thick Chultan accent, holding her hands towards the fire. "I have few potions. Oils to calm your bowels at sea. Tinctures to cure disease and poison. You can find more brews to poison your mind and body with my neighbour. I mostly offer stones and visions." She smiles and gestures to a small table where a collection of precious stones are on display. There are sapphires, malachites, jade, obsidian, onyx, amethysts and lapis lazuli, all glittering in the light of the firepit. Some are set in amulets and rings, but they don't seem to be enchanted. Prices differ from a hundred to a thousand. "Some tell stories. Others have power. All are pretty." Some stones can be used in spell castings she says, but won't say what exactly they may be used for. She also offers to give Alexial a glimpse of her future, or to scry on someone for a small price. All it will cost is a few drops of blood and a donation of your choice. For scrying she will require something that belonged to the person to be scryed on. "Traveller. What do you seek?" // And... Merry Christmas!

Nodding briefly to the crewman, Ahmed would make way to The Docks in search of Captain Blake... momentarily pausing at the crowded seafood eatery.
On his way to the Docks, Ahmed gets the feeling he's being followed. When walking through the alleys between New Semport and the Docks, a robed figure seems to be watching him, but is eventually lost in the crowd. Ahmed recalls seeing a similar robed figure in New Semport. As Ahmed pauses at the seafood eatery with a large cog above it's door, he spots Captain Blake and Yarrick inside. They seem to be talking with a portly woman in a blue dress. Following his instinct, Ahmed would continue walking past the seafood eatery's entrance upon spotting his compatriots. He would move further away from the eatery to elsewhere in The Docks.//ooc due to the holiday weekend, the next phase has been pushed back to start 48 hours from this post.

The Captain beckons Yarrick close, speaking quietly "We're running out of time before we need to leave, we need to get to old Semport, see if we can pick up their trail. I have a suspicion about Mellkabbar, I don't believe in coincidences...but...our stalkers might be working for one of these trading houses, not only pirates sabotage each other, we're new merchants in an established market, these buggers could be out for stabbin' us in the back but the Mithral Queen has already gone and the Swan is laid up having her cog fitted. I want to know about Garmolkas 'Copperbeard' Tashmander and his caravel the Drowning Siren, need to see what armaments the Golden Redeemer has too. The small trade cog doesn't sound like it could be our stalker. Any thoughts, Mister Yarrick?"

Following his instinct, Ahmed would continue walking past the seafood eatery's entrance upon spotting his compatriots. He would move further away from the eatery to elsewhere in The Docks. Going further down the docks would take Ahmed to Whalekiller's Dice Den, a large structure built from the bones of a colossal sea creature. All manner of gambling takes place both inside and outside, such as games of dice, cards, chess, anchor throwing, arm wrestling, armoured crab fights, and clockwork automaton duels. If Ahmed goes even further along the boardwalk, he comes to warehouses and the Dockmaster's mechanical lighthouse. Whoever the stalker was, he or she seems to have lost Ahemd in the crowd, or turned their attention elsewhere. (The twice enchanted scimitars and the ones with spells seem similar to what could be found in Cormyr, but they are more expensive here. The scimitar known as Storm Pasha however, is quite different. My good dwarf, if you must pay with such foreign currency, then the price stays at twenty thousand gold pieces. Twenty thousand, no less. And as I said, the bound spirit can be summoned once. To unleashed the storm spirit, you just rub the blade, just like this..." He rubs the blade with his fingers, but nothing happens. "Of course, there has to be a storm, or the spirit won't be released." "I see" The Captain studies the bodyguard a moment before paying her a smile. "A famous name, Mellkabbar, you've heard the old stories I bet? Of the ghost ship? Wonder if he's a relation to that poor unfortunate female of the tall tale." He takes another sip of wine. He beckons Yarrick over. "Oh, don't you start now too." Arizolda rolls her eyes at he mention of the ghost ship. "Voskar has a good ship, a fine carrack. But I've talked too much now. If you'll excuse me, gentlemen, I have guests to entertain. It's been a pleasure, and you're always welcome." Arizolda quickly kisses Captain Blake on both cheeks and strolls over to a guest in fancy clothes who gives her a heavy coin pouch. With a new glass of wine in hand, she begins rambling her gossip again.

He asks if contracts are needed upon borrowing toys. As Gardrak casts true seeing, the toymaker looks up from his work. Though, there is a faint magical aura on the toys, there are no illusions on them. However, Clockman no longer has hair or beard, his skin is stretched tightly over a cracked skull, his hands are skeletal, and his eyes glow green behind the goggles. "And no spellcasting." Clockman stares at Gardrak for a moment. "I came here because I do not appreciate my work being disrupted by spell casters. I think it would be best if you left now. Choose a toy, or leave empty handed. Never speak of me and my shop. The toy is our contract, signed by your touch." All the toys in the shop turns to face Gardrak, their eyes flashes green. Over by a fishmonger's stall stand two guards, they aim their crossbows at Snake's speeding carriage, but jumps out of the way as it almost runs them over, the carriage skidding through the stall, sending fish and squids all across the boardwalk. One of the guard rolls on the board, rises to a knee, and fires a swarm of bolts after the carriage.

The Captain races down the street, trying to avoid the spillage, eyes still fixed on the carriage to see which direction it goes.

The carriage races down the boardwalk, past Zerok's and Madame Ma'saze's shops, dodging a wagon of smokepowder barrels, mowing down a fruit vendor stall, and narrowly avoiding playing children. It comes to an abrupt stop as it just barely avoids crashing into another carriage coming from an alley by Siren's Abode. With the way ahead blocked, Snakes jumps from the carriage, pushing past courtesans, and runs into the alley.

If he finds any he would tell them to inform the authorities of a woman using arcane magic and taking a carriage. He edges to the alley corner, catching his breath, one hand on his cutlass hilt as he looks into the alley.

Captain Blake finds a few guards who joins him in the chase. The alley ahead is long and dark, but the Captain can see a sunlit street of New Semport at the other end. Snakes is still invisible and running ahead as fast as she can, glancing over her shoulder once. Since she got a good headstart by horse, and Captain Blake followed on foot, he cannot catch up to her before she reaches the end of the alley. Snakes runs out on the cobblestone street in New Semport, and gets run over by a horse carriage. Her invisibility spell fades.

Gardrak carefully leaves the shop making sure not to touch anything. As he exits the door he looks back and sneers at the Clockman. Then he quickly wards himself silently and makes his way back to the ship.

Snakes runs out on the cobblestone street in New Semport, and gets run over by a horse carriage. Her invisibility spell fades. Captain Blake skids to a halt, seeing her run down and immediately goes to her side to check if she's conscious and assess her injuries.Snakes has several crushed ribs, her left leg twists in an odd direction, and her nose is broken and bleeding. Snakes gasps for air with a pained look in her eyes, blood bubbling in her mouth. She stares at Blake, and her hand tries to grasp at his arm, but she has no strength in her fingers. "Ilmater..." she manages to say, and chokes on her blood. She speaks no more, and her gaze stares blankly at the sky. The guards catch up to Blake and a small crowd begins to gather around. The carriage driver has come over, saying that he didn't see anyone. The guards explains she was invisible, someone says "that's what happens when you use magic". The guards tell people to go on their way, she was a "pirate", and deserved what happened.
