The elf, two dwarves, and a human female stop beneath some trees in the King's Forest east of Dhedluk. One of the dwarves sets a campfire and begins to say his prayers. He gets up and begins to bless his companions when a dark shadowy figure suddenly emerges to strike. The dwarf is knocked down and brutally set upon by the lone assassin. His companions attempt to defend him, but in a flurry of blades he is mercilessly cut down and slain. The attacker then turns upon the elf who is shooting at her with his bow. The elf dodges and runs in circular fashion around his companions. The woman knocks the assassin to the ground and she and the remaining dwarf strike at the prone figure. Suddenly the attacker on the ground seems to vanish. The elf quickly casts a spell on himself and his companions. The dwarf pulls out a scroll, raise his clan mate, and asks, "ow te ells was tat?" "That was Netharmirth," the elf replies as he frowns. The priestly dwarf begins again with his blessings. Suddenly the shadowy figure reappears but is swiftly cut down by the other dwarf with a mighty stroke. "Good work," says the elf. "There is a bounty on her." "Na ttack mes lass yus stupid," says the dwarf. He proceeds to chop off her head and tells his companions that he will take it to the authorities to claim the bounty.
I hear the Underdark is just lovely this time of year. - Tallinus Magerus
