Lord Thiombar,
In time recent, the lands of Cormyr have come to experience a time of relative peace. With the end to the Sembian War, and the subdual of Moander's plague, a time has come to the lands for balance to once more take hold. The children of the forests return to settle new homes, but so too do they whom dwell in the darkness. While the lands maybe at peace, this does not mean that all is calm and safe within the borders.
Despite Dhedluk's well meant and prosperous reliance on the bounties of nature, the rise of civilization has drawn many into a necessity for trade between colonies, rather than complete self reliance. Such is not poor by any means, for even nature's most primal creatures work in harmony to survive together. Such is simply within the natural cycle, though humans have simply adapted a new technique to do so.
However, with this need for trade comes a need for travel. With travel comes the need to cross the depths of the King's Forest to traverse these goods to their new homes. You know, as well as I, that the forests are places of intrigue and danger. No road can promise safe passage for any, be it the lone wanderer or the bustling caravan. As the roads are long and travels extending beyond simply a day, thus is when all become most vulnerable.
My name is Fenix Vale, a man in service to the true wilds of the lands themselves, and guided by the embrace of the Tree Father. I come to you in search of council and audience, not to move blindly into action, but to give consideration to our possibilities. I see to erect an inn along these routes that exist so desolate of true safety. A sanctuary for travelers against the harsh, inclement weathers and the perilous hardships facing those whom brave the wood. I wish to develop a haven, constructed to be with the land and to compliment its grace. Somewhere for lost souls and weary feet to find rest for a time, be it hours or tenday at a time.
While much can be told through script, I instead hope that you can find the time to grant council, so we may discuss in greater detail and put to rest any worries. A meeting between men, you and I, as well as Lord Woodband of Waymoot to discuss all matters of concern and put them to rest. This endeavor is a great undertaking, and could drastically effect both Waymoot, Dhedluk, and the King's Forest as a whole.
I hope the winds guide your response swiftly. May you find comfort and solace in the shade of the Tree Father.
Sincerely,
Fenix Vale
