*The day that terror struck Shallybrook*
It was a day like every other day in the town of Shallybrook, the local hin´s vend on with they normal life’s taking care of the livestock and tending to their gardens.
At midday a fully grown man in shining armor carrying a tower shield with the symbol of Torm walked across the town, the hin´s took note of him but nothing more as it wasn’t unusual that the tall folk came for a visit to buy the local groceries.
But what happened next was not a common sight in the small town.
The man who was clearly a paladin stop at one of the larger barracks and seemed to speak out to someone who could not be seen by the common eye.
After only a short moment the paladin drew his sword from its sheath, the blade burned with a bright light as from the gods themselves.
The hin´s took cover behind what ever they could find and from there they watched as the shadows from the barracks grew and took the form of a man in black robes with green trimmings the shadows eyes burned as bright red as the paladins sword shined divine.
Only a short exchange of words was heard before an epic battle between the holy man and the shadow broke out.
The paladin full armoured was clearly slower then his opponent who seemed to move with an unnatural speed. Like a flickering shadow escaping the light of a torch, the man in black dodged the mighty blows of the paladin’s sword and struck back with a vipers speed and stunning precision.
The paladin had the luck to land a few nonlethal blows and the hissing sound like red glowing metal dipped in water could be heard as the divine blade met the shadows darkness.
In return of the blow the shadow landed a crushing kick to the side of the paladins kneecap that broke and left the holy man knocked down to his one good knee, the moment the shied was lowed the shadow was over him, he gave the metal helm a hard strike with an elbow leaving the neck unprotected and with yet another punch of a fist he broke the paladins neck.
For a moment the body of the holy man sat still on his knees before falling over.
Some of the hin´s watching the battle fled in horror over the brutal killing some called out for guards some for their gods.
The shadow that had fought unarmed took out a small dagger and with ease cut the triadic badge of the dead paladin right before he cut the ears of him as well.
When the guards came to the scene of the fight they found only the body of the paladin for the man in black had faded away in to the shadows yet again.
Next to the body a letter was found
*Holance yet another has died.. Yet again you failed in keeping your brothers safe.. only you can stop this.. Only your soul can safe their lives... Zyr...*
For the days to come anyone coming to Shallybrook would hear the hin´s speak of “The day that terror struck Shallybrook”
// if Armias is raised I think the locals would tell him what happened, but ill leave that up to you and thanks for the cool RP that day //
