These notices are tacked up by Mirrir in Waymoot and Dhedluk. Along with posting the notices, she also spends several hours talking to townsfolk, guards and citizens alike, asking questions, answering questions, and generally being amicable. The message she makes especially clear is this:
"The faithful shall not lay hands on the sons and daughters of Cormyr, and if they refuse to adhere to these edicts, they will face my wrath. Should any have concern that unschooled savages in your woods are hunting your fellows, please send word. I will gladly investigate all cases and ensure that if there is truth to them, that the guilty are punished for their crimes."
She also openly invites youths and fledgling hunters to spend time with her to teach them skinning and hunting techniques.
The posted notices are written in flowing, bold letters, and are as follows:
Proclamation of Acceptable Practice
Know that those faithful of the Beastlord found beyond the edicts of this proclamation within the boarders of Cormyr will be considered prey for those that adhere to them.
Edicts of the Faith:
~ Cleanse the hunt: The sick will be purged or destroyed and disposed of. Seek sources and remove them.
- Any undead found in wilderness areas where they might spread filth are to be destroyed.
- The spread of lycanthropy is prohibited beyond willing faithful. It should only be transmitted by divine curse. Any found transmitting the gift through bite or claw as a disease will face persecution for tainting the hunt.
~ Allow strength to grow: Avoid killing the young. Do not kill the pregnant or unborn. The deepspawn are sacred, defend them, and attempt to herd them away from populated areas.
Traditions:
~ The High Hunts shall be performed with only the enemies of Cormyr. Recommended are:
- Drow.
- Remnant orcs from the Hullack or Arabel region.
- Brigands.
- While the war continues Silver Ravens of Sembia and their mercenaries found on Cormyrian Soil. The Wolf Head Band in particular prove interesting.
~ The Feast of Stags will be held every Highharvest tide in as many communities of Cormyr as possible.
- In the Spirit of the Feast of Stags, while war continues, all excess edible meat from hunts is recommended to be offered to refugees with a focus on the pregnant and those with children.
Should you have questions or concerns regarding these edicts, as a member of clergy, laymen, or even as an outsider, seek me.
~ Mirrir Tharasvin, Voice of the Beastlord.
