Sengal
Male lightfoot halfling werewolf Drd5 of Malar
Sengal is a feral halfling who surrendered to his primitive instincts. A druid of Malar and a member of the People of the Black Blood, he is well respected among other werewolves despite his youth and size. Sengal acts as a scout and message-carrier for the bands of the People and the other druids of his faith within the High Forest.
In combat, he prefers to observe opponents to learn their strengths and weaknesses, then strikes from ambush, with his wolf companion attacking unarmored spellcasters. If he anticipates a battle, he rounds up another wolf or two or other members of the People, for he is too cunning to engage multiple opponents without any hope of winning.
Sengal emulates wolves even in normal activities. When he gets angry, he leans forward and growls. When in the presence of a powerful ally, he lies on his back with his belly exposed. He has never been outside the High Forest and considers those who live in cities to be weak.

The eight Zulkirs of the Red Wizards
Aznar Thrul (CE male human Evo10/Red10/Acm3) is the cruel and savage zulkir of Evocation and the tharchion of the Priador. Although Thrul loathes Szass Tam, the lich holds him in check through some secret information or advantage.
Druxus Rhym (NE male human Tra10/Red10/Acm4) is the steadfast zulkir of Transmutation. He is the greatest spokesperson of ruthless trade over isolation or military aggression, using his power and his alliance with Szass Tam to encourage the others to cooperate.
Lallara (CE female human Abj10/Red10/Acm1) is the zulkir of Abjuration, a chaotic and unreliably ally of Szass Tam and a woman with a taste for decadent pleasures. She collects unusual magic items and enjoys torturing slaves.
Lauzoril (NE male human Enc10/Red10/Acm2) is the handsome zulkir of Enchantment, a scheming and dangerous opponent. He opposes Szass Tam and only grudgingly refrains from marching his armies on Thay’s neighbors.
Mythrellaa (CE female human Ill10/Red7/Sha3) is the zulkir of Illusion. She prefers isolation and rarely fraternizes with her peers, devoting her time to studies of the Shadow Weave.
Nevron (NE male human Cjr10/Red10/Acm2/Epic2) is the hateful, aggressive, fiend-touched zulkir of Conjuration. The other zulkirs suspect he plans a surprise attack on Aglarond, which they would be forced to oppose in order to avoid the loss of valuable trade that would result. Aglarond doesn’t trade with Thay, but other lands sympathetic to Aglarond do.
Szass Tam* (NE male human lich Nec10/Red10/Acm2/Epic7) is the shrewd zulkir of Necromancy. Over two hundred years old, he has tried to unite the zulkirs under his banner but lost prestige recently after a failed attempt to harness the power of a long-imprisoned demon.
Yaphyll (LE female human Div10/Red5/Lor4) is the youthful zulkir of Divination. A strong supporter of Druxus and Szass Tam, she uses her magic to monitor the other zulkirs and events in Thayan enclaves throughout Faerun.
* For more in-depth information on Szass Tam, see previous posts in this thread.

Khalia
Female human Tra6/Red4
Khalia is a cautious and skilled diplomat in the service of the Red Wizards of Thay. She visits the rulers or ministers of cities and kingdoms and convinces them to allow the Red Wizards to lease a space within their territory to create an enclave. In addition to passionate arguments and negotiations about profits, trade, and friendly relations, she offers gifts to the nobles and leaders she visits--typically magic items useful in supporting an army or guard force. As her people are still held in low regard, she has been forced to flee negotiations that turned sour (her owl familiar was slain during a recent incident).
She prefers to travel in the company of Thayan bodyguards, normally hired from an enclave in a nearby city. Khalia chooses to memorize spells that cause a minimum of damage, to avoid tainting the reputation of the Red Wizards any further should a conflict arise. She replenishes her stores of items from enclaves she visits, using their resources to construct whatever she needs. For her fellows in the enclaves, she brings news of home, letters from other enclaves, and the opportunity to travel.
Khalia has a gentle manner and prefers to avoid arguments and conflict, despite insults directed at her. Given time and access to an enclave, she can have a large amount of money or magic items at her disposal. She is not averse to using them to acquire the services of others to forward her goals, such as hiring local adventurers to supplement her guards or to petition a local noble on her behalf. Extremely intelligent, she knows that she has a lot of work ahead of her and tries to be the most restrained and reasonable Red Wizard that anyone might ever meet.

The Seven Sisters
Sylune (NG female human spectral harpist Wiz20/Sor2/Ftr2), the eldest, is dead now, slain defending Shadowdale from the attack of a red dragon. She was known as the Witch of Shadowdale, and she survives as a powerful but good-hearted ghost who still watches over the lands and people she loved in life.
Alustriel (see previous posts in thread)
Dove Falconhand (CG female human Rgr14/Sor9/Rog4/Hrp1) is unusual among her siblings in that her magical abilities are secondary to her skill at arms. She won renown as a Knight of Myth Drannor and is married to Florin Falconhand of the same band.
Storm Silverhand (see previous posts in thread)
Laeral Silverhand (CG female human Wiz19/Sor4/Rgr7) is known as the Lady Mage of Waterdeep. Along with her husband Khelben “Blackstaff” Arunsun she leads the Moonstars, a Harper splinter group that seeks to order the destiny of cities and nations in the North.
The Simbul (see previous posts in thread)
The youngest sister enters into few tales. Qilue Veladorn (CG female drow Clr16/Dis3) is a powerful cleric of the drow goddess Eilistraee and a drow herself (the circumstances of her birth were exceptional, to say the least).

Manshoon
Male human Wiz20/Acm2/Epic3
For years a lord of Zhentil Keep and leader of the Zhentarim, Manshoon fit the archetype of the sly-tongued, sinister, and decadent evil master spellcaster. He ruthlessly pulled revolts in the ranks of the Black Network, slaughtered his rivals, and weeded the ranks of the young and ambitious by sending such upstart mages on impossible missions to slay Elminster or seize the spellfire-wielder Shandril Shessair. Hated and mistrusted by his ally Fzoul, Manshoon calmly manipulated the priest as he did all others--remaining arrogant, untouchable in his power, and faintly amused by everything.
That call came forcibly to an end in 1370 DR, when Fzoul and Lord Orgauth managed to slay Manshoon--and found themselves facing not the sole clone they expected but a dozen or more stasis clones Manshoon created. No one knows who activated all the clones or why, but the chaos caused in Faerun to cme alive with ruthless evil archmages, each convinced that he ways, in fact, the “real” Manshoon and inexplicably compelled to slay his rival clones.
Most of the clones perished in battle, and the caches of magic items formerly hidden across Faerun by Manshoon are now scattered into other hands. Only three Manshoons remain. One reclaimed his place among the Zhentarim, conceding leadership of the organization to Fzoul Chembryl but arriving at an understanding with the Chosen of Bane that allows him to make use of the resources and manpower of the Zhentarim. One is rumored to have assumed a position of power among the thieves of Westgate, calling himself Orbakh. A third has taken refuge with Halaster of Undermountain. Those who survive have mastered the slaying-compulsion by means of various spells and devices.
For all intents and purposes, the Manshoon with the Zhentarim appears to be “the” Manshoon. A master tyrant and diplomat, he’s accustomed to ruling and manipulating from behind the scenes, and is likely to employ adventurers to work his will wherever he can’t dupe local authorities to do so. Relieved of the responsibility of administering the Black Network, he is free to concoct far-ranging designs for the advancement of the Zhentarim; and seems to have learned a lesson in caution and patience from the travails of the last two years. He has redoubled his arcane researches, seeking ways to transfer his consciousness from one clone to another at will.

Qilue Veladorn Homeland: Undermountain, Waterdeep, Promenade of Eilistraee Gender: Female Race: Drow Age: Approx. 607 - Born in 767 DR Year of the Awakening Wyrm Class: Cleric/Divine Disciple Alignment: Chaotic Good
Qilu Veladorn, or Eresseae Qilu Silverhand, the Seventh of the Seven Sisters.
Qilu is a drow priestess of Eilistraee, the goddess of the good aligned drow, and because of her background serves both Eilistraee and Mystra. As a Chosen of both goddesses she leads a temple complex, the Promenade, near Skullport, beneath the metropolis of Waterdeep in the subterranean area known as Undermountain.
Though originally born to a human couple, she is full-blooded drow. In the original story, her father had killed her mother when he had found out that she had been possessed by Mystra, the goddess of magic. Mystra, seeking to keep the child alive, came upon a pregnant drow priestess of Eilistraee whose child had died in her womb, and made a pact with Eilistraee that served both their intentions.
Qilu is the youngest of the Seven Sisters and spends some of her free time in Waterdeep with dalliance of human men, on occasion appearing as her sister, Laeral. She also had a daughter, Ysolde, whose death she probably blames on Liriel Baenre, as the drow that killed her were actually looking for the erstwile princess. The relationship is at the least terse, as it was the second person whose death was caused indirectly by Liriel, the other being Qilue's lover Elkantar. In spite of Qilu's grudge, the young Liriel admires Qilu.
She is the youngest daughter, and is not widely known like her sisterswhen she is whispered of she is called "The Dark Sister" and that is probably a good thing for she is a drow elf born to Mystra in exceptionally odd circumstances, but is also a fair and mighty priestess of both Mystra and the good drow goddess Eilistraee.

Jarlaxle Homeland: Menzoberranzan Gender: Male Race: Drow Elf Age: Unknown Class: Rogue 4/Fighter 4/ Duelist 9 Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Slender and tightly muscled, Jarlaxle is the dandy of Menzoberranzan. He chooses the brightest colors for his clothes and wears a cape that shines in every color in both the visible and infrared spectrums. A mental command can transform this bright cloak into a concealing invisibility cloak. Jarlaxle commonly wears high boots, bracelets and other jewelry that typically makes loud noise upon his approach (the jewelry jangling and the boots loudly echoing upon the floor, even upon surfaces such as soft carpeting where such sounds should not be possible,) but which, like the cloak, can be made to be loud or silent at his discretion. He also wears a magical eye patch that protects his mind from magical and psionic intrusions and allows him to see through walls and other solid objects. He often shifts the patch from eye to eye to keep others guessing as to its powers. Another staple item is his wide-brimmed hat, plumed with a diatryma feather and worn atop his clean-shaven scalp that is heavily implied to be enchanted to do have many different properties, including ones activated by tipping it in different directions. One of Jarlaxle's practiced moves is to remove his hat and sweep into a bow, exposing his bald head. Jarlaxle's shaven head is a symbol of his place in Menzoberranzan. In a society where rank and position are indicated by hair style, Jarlaxle has no hair to illustrate that he considers himself removed from the society of his kin.
More than anything, Jarlaxle is an opportunist. His wealth is considerable, but official station in drow society means nothing to him. Jarlaxle has learned that the best way for a male to survive and prosper in the matriarchal drow society is by being outside the system and too valuable to be eliminated. Jarlaxle enjoys flaunting his independence and is proud of the fact that the noble houses come to him for aid. In the city of Menzoberranzan, intrigue and double-dealing are a way of life, and no one plays them better than Jarlaxle does. Jarlaxle deliberately cultivates an air of mystery about himself, keeping his actions unpredictable so that even his closest advisors in Bregan D'aerthe are often kept off-balance and guessing as to his next move. Predictability allows individuals to study a potential opponent, note their apparent strengths and weaknesses, and plan accordingly; thus, unpredictability is a great asset to Jarlaxle, as others are forced to improvise, rather than plan ahead, when dealing with him.

Catti-brie Battlehammer Homeland: Icewind Dale Gender: Female Race: Human Age: Late 20's Class: Fighter Alignment: Neutral Good
Catti-brie's mother died in childbirth, and her father moved with his daughter from Mirabar to Termalaine, one of the Ten Towns. For three years, he was quite successful, until a goblin ended the man's life. All of Termalaine might have fallen to a goblin onslaught but for the dwarves of clan Battlehammer rushing from their valley to turn back the horde. Bruenor himself saved the orphan girl from death. When the smoke cleared, he claimed Catti-brie as his adopted daughter.
Catti-brie has no memories of the time before Bruenor took her in, but she had a pleasant childhood with the dwarves.
Catti-brie was the first person in the Icewind Dale to accept Drizzt, although she was very young when Drizzt came to know her. Catti-brie possesses a stubborn and tough dwarf personality due to her foster-father.
After the finding of Mithral Hall, she discovered Taulmaril the Heartseeker, Gift of Anariel, Sister of Faern, in the destroyed Hall of Dumathoin. For several years she also carried the sentient blade Khazid'hea otherwise known as "Cutter", the sword that she took from the body of Dantrag Baenre, after defeat and death at the hands of Drizzt. Eventually the sentiant blade fell into the hands of Tos'un Del'Armgo, a Drow exile.
Catti-brie is a beautiful auburn-haired and blue-eyed woman. She is kind, tolerant, and pragmatic. Moreover, Catti-brie has grown into the emotional compass for her adventuring companions, guiding both Drizzt and Wulfgar into wise action with her common sense and clear insight.
In combat, Catti-brie usually supported her friends with Taulmaril and her limitless supply of arrows. She was not hesitant about entering melee, however, and would charge into combat with Khazid'hea at the ready, generally confident in her ability to dominate the blade. However, she was recently wounded by a giant-thrown boulder during the defense of Mithril Hall from the legions of Obould Many-Arrows. This lasting injury has forced her to largely forgo the use of traditional melee weaponry, being physically unable to fight as she once did. To compensate, she has instead started learning magic under the tutelage of the illusionist Nanfoodle and Lady Alustriel.

Eldrith the Betrayer Home: Baldur's Gate Gender: Female Race: Human Class: Paladin/Blackguard Alignment: (formerly LG)
Known in death as Eldrith the Betrayer, she was in life a great general of the Sword Coast and a sworn defender of Baldur's Gate. Her loyal comrades of the Company of the Westering Sun followed her unquestioningly into countless battles, in which she was always victorious. In her final battle, Eldrith's company took the field and scattered their vicious enemies, the Black Horde. The Dukes of Baldur's Gate thus decreed that war was over; too many lives had already been lost. Was it not obvious that the Horde would never return?
Eldrith was outraged! How could a final victory be denied her? Against all odds, she led her weakened troops until they cornered the Horde in a small valley. To her horror, the Company of the Westering Sun was almost completely overrun. Eldrith sent back to Baldur's Gate for reinforcements, which never came. A few meager survivors, along with a bloodied and battered Eldrith, finally returned home but were reviled by the Dukes. Fueled by Eldrith's fury, the Westering Sun charged the walls of Baldur's Gate in a suicide run. Knowing her failure Eldrith fled into the Marsh of Chelimber where one by one her soldiers succumbed to their wounds and the creatures of the marshes. Eldrith herself was finally struck down from a distance by crossbow bolts, as Baldur's soldiers so feared her skill with a sword that none would dare approach within striking distance of her.

Captain Deudermont Home: Waterdeep; aboard the Sea Sprite Gender: Male Race: Human Class: Fighter Alignment: Neutral Good
Captain Deudermont is a friend of Drizzt and the Companions of the Hall. He is the captain of the famous Sea Sprite, a large pirate-hunting vessel commissioned to him by the Lords of Waterdeep. Wulfgar was once falsely accused of assassinating the good captain, though the attempt on his life was actually conducted by Tee-a-nick-nick and Creeps Sharky, who were later executed in Luskan. Deudermont survived the attack, despite being badly poisoned and seeming on the brink of death for a few days. His trusted right hand man is the wizard Robillard, who is second in command on the Sea Sprite and a capable magic user.
