No problem! That's what I'm here for! I'm thinking of giving myself a title... "ManyAsOne The All Knowing", or "ManyAsOne The Keeper of Knowledge", or maybe even "ManyAsOne The Sad Little Geek With Too Much Damned Time On His Hands"!
;D ;D
In all seriousness, it is my pleasure to help people out with FR, NWN, and D&D questions.
Keep 'em coming.

I know this is an odd and specific question, but does Cormyr have a double jeopardy law?
|
|
|
Post by manyasone on Jul 18, 2005 13:09:39 GMT -5
double-jeopardy:
"n. The act of putting a person through a second trial for an offense for which he or she has already been prosecuted or convicted. "
Just double-checking. ;D
Wow, this question is really a tough one... I can tell you without needing to search, that I won't find the answer to that one. Most D&D books don't go that deep into details when it comes to local laws. That's usually up to the DM, so I'm afriad I'm really not able to help here.
And thanks for trying to use ManyAsOne's Question Corner... *sigh*
Sorry, Quad.

Application for "ManyAsOne the All Knowing" and "ManyAsOne the Keeper of Knowledge" REJECTED J/K ManyAsOne. Just wanted to know because if I get off of these accusations that Pasha kidnapped Sharita, I wanted to know if I would have a free kidnapping available to me

I thought that you could still be put through a second trial if new evidence was found... Just what i think... nothing proved.

I think that, given the nature of the Realms (a medieval setting), that laws like the double jepordy law (meant to protect the accused) aren't in place...
Though, like I said, you should ask a DM for a more certain answer that isn't my flismy assumptions.

I hate to take away space in my thread to brag, but I just noticed I sport over one-thousand views now... This thread is second place to module updateds in most views and has beaten out "Druids And Shifters Please Read".
Who rules?!
I do!

Many, Assuming you have a Source book, could you possibly list the differences between the PRC's of NWN and the same PRC's of regular DnD... 3.5 if available. I never think to check when I have access... I want to know if they nerfed most of em or if they boosted em. ^_^ thx

Ack... I don't have any 3.5 books. I chose not to buy them on principle. ;D
I can take a look at some of the 3.0 books and check for you. it may take a while. this has been one hell of a week.

Ok, so I just finished the Cormyr saga (it ended with Death of a Dragon right?). So I have a few questions as to what happened between now and FRC. First off, I think there is a bit of a typo in the introduction section here at FRC. It says that Azoun V is Alusair's brother, but really he is her nephew (son of Tanalasta her sister). So Vangerdahast was still alive at the end of the book as well as Filfaeril (Azoun's wife), so why isn't Filfaeril ruling? Azoun did want to pass the crown to Tanalasta, but since she was dead, did it automatically go to Alusair? And what about Tanalasta's husband, Rowen? Granted he got turned into a Ghazneth, but did they find a way to turn him back? Or did he just fly off in the end? And where did this Caladanei girl come from? So if you could clear any of this stuff up for me, I'd appreciate it. Granted it isn't source book material, but you do know everything, ManyAsOne, right?

What Cormyr Saga?

Post by Quadhund/Greenhouse on Aug 3, 2005 14:20:49 GMT -5
Cormyr: A Novel, Beyond the High Road, and Death of a Dragon. They didn't start calling it the Cormyr saga till the third one. Oh and I read the last paragraph of the FR Campaign Setting in the Cormyr section under the History section. Turns out, Vangerdahast just ups and disappears, picked Caladanei out of the blue, the queen passed up the crown to Alusair. But they never mentioned what happened to Rowen...

well the thing you always have to keep in mind with novels are that well...Quad pretty much answered his own question...it isn't a source book. Which is why we at FRC pretty much go straight from the sourcebooks, except for the few embellishments we have come up with our own. As into the reasons why some things are/arn't? My best suggestion would to goto the author's website and see if there are any answers/or perhaps email him an question. Other than that lets see what ManyAsOne comes up with

its been awhile since anyones posted, so i hope this is still goin on.
i want to know the process of achieving lichdom, the rituals and the ingrediants for the potion in particular.
ive been scouring the internet looking, and so far ive gotten a very vague description (basically "theres rituals, the rituals are similar to mummification, they turn the dude into a lich.") I also read that a great description of the rituals is given in the Lords of Darkness; Encyclopedia Magica, Vol. III (page 874 - Potion of Lichdom); and Van Richten's Monster Hunter's Compendium, Vol. II (Ravenloft, but still would work); however, i dont have any of these. thats where i was hoping you'd have my back.
thanks, alot matt

From the item in the NWN engine: "Possibly one of the strangest stories in Thayvian history is that of Rachzin Pala, the lich who decided to become a bard. The music he composed was of such mournful effect that he became a success for playing at funerals for the rich and powerful. His masterpiece was a work that actually created a similar spell effect to Horrid Wilting and was known to actually kill the audience."
Well, there it is. I believe that it allows a bard to use Horrid Wilting a few times per day.
