To the well-meaning, though misguided, non-militia upholders of the laws of Isinhold:
The law states that familiars of a carnivorous or dangerous nature are not allowed.
Not that pets are not allowed.
Please read the laws so that unnecessary problems may be averted.
Thanks, Ancalagon

A white haired woman in black robes walks up to the boards and reads the message, shaking her head...
"Indeed... Though if I recall correctly... Pets do not talk..."
She smirks as she walks away...

*A note is tacked under the first at the Regal Griffin Inn.*
This was brought up before, back when the Crown still had authority in Isinhold. If history repeats itself, you can expect people defend the subjective wording of the law and the violent actions taken to enforce it. You can expect the militia to stay quiet on the matter. And you expect hunting dogs and trained birds to be treated as if they were summoned hell hounds or imps, with no apology. Good luck; I'm sorry you'll need it.

The armor clad warrior woman stood in the Regal Griffon reading the notice slowly and deliberately, her eyes roaming over every word. A slow smirk forms on her lips as she finishes examining the letter.
She shakes her head and lets a small chuckle escape her lips before turning to the stairs and heading up.

*a note is tacked up to the board, the words eligible and well written* To all citizens and adventurers: To all those in the habit of killing wizards familiars or pets. The law is stated: "There are to be no pets, familiars, animal companions or conjured creatures of CARNIVOROUS OR DANGEROUS nature within the palisades of the village" Do not go around killing any bird you see flying in the air. If you feel a familiar or companion needs taken care of please speak to a guard. Anymore killing of them will constitute time in jail. *signed* Sir Callen ((no more looking at the name above the familiar or companion

Dubhan eyes the board on his way out of the common room and reads Sir Callen's note. He proclaims his mix of suprise and happiness with a grin and simply uttering "huh." His spirits are a bit higher that day.

*written in elven script*
Those breaking the law with having a summon or familiar should be fined, as well. Some have come into town more than once and have seen the same person with his summon out and not a guard was doing anything. If those adventurers who are enforcing the laws of the Crown are going to he punished, then those breaking the law should also be punished. Breaking this law more than once should be rectified by jail time.
It is clearly posted on entrances into the town of Isinhold, but there are still opportunities for it to be broken (for example the catacombs and ruins).
All those whom are abiding by this law, let it be known, this is going to have repercussions on our friends in spirit if this contiues to happen. We need to start looking out for those whom are breaking the law and educating them on the laws of their companions.

A hin dressed from head to toe in red walks up and reads the assorted notes and comments, smiling to himself after reading Sir Callen's message. He says outloud, "Hah! Knew I was right!". He then reaches Heimaey's message, and, unable to read and completely baffled by the elven script, shrugs to himself and moves on.
