"You will take my price or I will take my leave," said an annoyed Rhyllin to Jestin of the Shades Folly. The merchant reluctantly hefted the bag of Rhyllin's finds and headed for the back of his shop.
Knowing that it would take the man a few minutes to check his ledger and bring him coin, Rhyllin decided to look about the shop. The moonelf paused as he spotted a piece of parchment tacked to the wall. Interest piqued, he quietly walked over to the paper, flicked back the hair from his eyes, and began to read the message.
"Here's your gold elf I," the returning merchant quickly cut himself short as Rhyllin turned around and glared at him with cold blue eyes. Jestin swallowed and his face paled as the elf, his angular brows furrowed, quietly approached him. "Here's your gold Rhyllin... look I didn't mean." He closed his eyes then flinched as Rhyllin suddenly reached for the quill in his hand.
With a dismissive wave of his hand the elf spun back around and began to write on the parchment. "Be glad that you held the quill," said an annoyed Rhyllin as he scrawled his name, "for it may have just saved your life."
