*A man cleaning the scraps from the cook off the floor look up and asks* - can i get a break and wait upstairs for a little while to see if my daughter will stop by?
- *the cook looks wish a smirk and answers* sure Jacob, after this kitchen is spotless clean
-Thank you sir
*Jacob cleans, scrambling to get things done as fast as he can to get as much time upstairs as possible before the next crew of people order a huge meal to wait for his daughter. After he finishes he rushes upstairs and rearranges the bench to face the door and waits.*
-*whispers to himself*I sure hope she comes this time

She slips down to the kitchen of the inn pauses. inhaling deeply of the pleasent smells of baked bread and roast. Then not seeing the cook, she steps over to the back corner where she looks down on a old man fast asleep on a makeshift mattress, exhaustion plain to see on his worn features. She stands quitly, torn by a mix of emotions for this man, her father. Hate, pity, and she admits to herself, even love. She bends over carefully so as not to wake him, pulling out a faded pink ribbon and gently ties it around his wrist. Smiling to herself, knowing that he will not know that he has been given one of the most chiresed things she possess she turns and walks away being careful not to waken the old man.
