My interpretation is that succeeding on the saving throw granted for orders against the subject's nature negates the domination entirely. It's described as "a new saving throw." From www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/spellDescriptions.htm#savingThrow: "Effect and area spells," for context, refers to this: So, when the subject succeeds on a secondary save, it's my interpretation that the spell will be broken and that both parties will be aware of this.

*reads over MaO's response* You provided all that without coffee in your system? Good work, sir. Hmm That response has broadened my perspective some more in a way, and helped touch-in on some of my own curiosities with good clarity. I'll forever think that the Domination spell is the lazy-arsed way of getting information and there's no changing that perspective You spell using ninnies just don't got the balls to do things more gruffly, and only hide behind yer darn spelltomes and fancy wizards scrolls ;D Sheer physical brutallity and fear inducements are the way to go for investigation! Spew the beans or become beans for a dragon's dinner plate! HAIL BANE, HAIL! (his wizards would prolly use Domination too though, *snorts*)But if one haveth the resources, then one may as well useth, the resources, eh?
