* Thraden sits at a secluded corner of the Immersea's local Inn. He nurses a drink of his gingerly as he notices a man approach him slowly, a friendly smile across his face. As the man comes closer Thraden says...*
"Hello, I see you got the message?"

Clad in dark armor and walking heavily across the tavern he sits at the table. After placing his helm upon the table and reaching for the drink already waiting there, he nods at the young man. To the few others in the tavern, the resemblence is striking.
"Aye I got yer message, I haven't heard from you in some time. I have received reports from others... seems a bit a trouble be following ya around? I assume thats why ya want to meet with me, otherwise I am not sure why you would take the risk being seen with me.

*smiles and places his mug down*
"Aye, I was attacked by a man who, from what I found out is called Hrothgar. He knocked myself out and three others, whom you probably know, and proceeded to try and have us arrested.
We were all fine, but I feel... jipped. He killed me without even knowing who I was, and needless to say, I want revenge... You were the first person who came to mind of whom I could trust.
And of course, any sort of... friendly relationship we attain, would be fine. So this is a good chance to kill two birds with one stone."

"Hrothgar....." *thinks a moment, then leans foward placing a hand on the other man's shoulder* "...Thraden, my son, I have already taken care of the that matter, although I did not know you were involved."
*raising his mug, obviously changing the subject* "Drink with me, a toast... I thought you were lost to me. Here is to our blessing, the great one spared you and led you to me." *drinks down the remainder of his ale quickly*

*looks to him a puzzled look on his face*
"What do you mean? I devoted no faith to him back home, why would he save me?"

*sets down his mug and studies the younger man*
"Did you not understand what I told you before? He sees the potential in you and as such granted you the chance to seek retribution for that which was taken from us."
*glancing down into the empty mug, all emotion drains from his face*
"That day I will never forget... no justice was served until I bloodied my hands.
Tell me, what lies did they feed you to explain your escape from death?"

*seems to gain a grimace and takes a deep breath before speaking*
"The Head of the temple, I forget the name, I rarely spoke to him... He told me that you had caught her cheating on you, and after you killed the man she slept with, they tried to arrest you, where you slew many of the guards in a spiteful rage. Then fled the country to escape punishment.
My mother... your wife, commited suicide after giving birth to me, out of shame.
But though I couldn't figure out why, I always thought that they weren't telling me everything. That it had to be more complicated than that... Apparently, they weren't hiding part of the story, they were hiding the entire story."

*his eyes flicker with a mixture of pain and rage, raising his voice slightly*
"She would never dishonor herself or me... ignore those falsehoods!
"The temple worships Anhur and told you lies most likely to keep you from seeking me out. As false purveyors of truth and goodness I expect nothing less..."
*motions to the innkeeper for more drinks*
"When I left she was dead as I thought you were as well. She was murdered, yet I was considered a criminal..."

"Wait. You thought I was dead? So... what? Why would you think I was dead, if I wasn't?
And what exactly happened to make you a criminal?"

*looks at Thraden with little emotion*
"I took justice into my own hands..." *flexes his fists as the memories stir deep emotions* "... and killed a pitiful worthless man. He slaughtered your mother and I thought you as well. Those same clerics who saved you, failed me... failed to see the real criminal...I was granted retribution for their failures and they suffered for their incompetence."

"I see... " *Starts to get distracted with memories*"Well, Why did you not tell them what the bastard did? And why was he let near mother to kill her..? And WHY don't i remember any of this? How old was I? "They wouldn't listen... they pretend to know the truth." *looks down at his clenched hands, his facial expression appears to soften briefly and lowers his voice* "I left her alone... I failed her. You wouldn't remember anything... you were close to being born... she was about to give birth anyday." *Pauses and stares down at the table for a long time before snapping out of his thoughts and looking up at Thraden. Any hint of sorrow washes from his face instantly and his eyes glint with rage and anger* "None of that matters now... I was allowed to take my revenge and you were granted life. We must now repay our savior and do his work. His power is strong and true and our efforts will be greatly rewarded."

*furrows his brow at the outburst, pauses a moment and then replies*
"How? When? Where? I have been trianing, though if to little avail, i still have been. I do not know anything of our lords following and cannot properly worship him. I need someone to show me."
