The peaceful setting of the Healers House was quickly interrupted by shouts of horror and fear from the wounded and homeless within. The cry of murder was screamed, and strife quickly ensued the abby. Innocent, wounded commoners fell to the ground, their eyes rolling behind their head and their tongues hanging out as they dropped dead to the ground. Blade Thompson, Father Alkyrie of Ilmatari, and a score of other people died. Their foods discovered to be poisoned. Two concealed, hooded, and disguised figures had been spotted by one of the visiting priests from Impiltur, but their faces were never seen, nor were they ever questioned, thinking that it was a mere pair of adventurers looking for aid. One appeared to have the build of a slender female, while the other the slim appearance of a male. Commoners outside of the temple sneer and show their discomfort upon approaching adventurers that may happen by. A note was also left within the Healers House, found in the kitchen: (posted by player request) "Death shall come to those who oppose Cyric or those that dare not to believe in his supremacy. Do not allow yourselves to get too comfortable. As long as you fools chose to displease the ONE TRUE GOD you shall live in constant fear, you will never know which meal will be your last. Continue to pray to your false gods and you shall drown in your own blood."

Posted upon player request:Later, on her return from the Telfflamm, Abby learns of the poisoning. Though stricken with grief for the few who were lost, she counts it a small blessing that... at the very least, the idiot Cyrics decided to poison people who were already in a hospital and therefore able to receive swift treatment from the skilled healers present. Had they choose some place else... the loss of life could have been much worse. Abby pleads to the courts in Suzail that action be taken to safeguard people from the marauding Cyrics who, through their evil xenophobia and tyrannical faith have made victims of innocent people as well as defenseless healers. Service were held in the Sanctuary, and father Alkyrie was elevated to sainthood for selflessly giving his life by choosing to spend his healing gifts on others despite his own death swiftly approaching. The Cyric's note is hung in the kitchen above the soup pot as a reminder. Beside it, an inscription is hung which reads: "Hope is indomitable, and without suffering we can never appreciate mercy. Ilmater, bless this, our daily bread."
