Since we're in December now, I'm going ahead and announcing that we'll be going to a 1-to-1 ratio for time on January 1, 2010 and the year will be advancing to 1374 DR. So January 1, 2010 will be 1st Hammer 1374 DR. NOTE: This will NOT affect the in-game clock. Mechanically, hours in-game will still last 10 minutes, meaning multiple day/night cycles may pass in a single calendar day. Roleplay-wise, an in-game day will be 24 hours long. An in-game month will be a RL month long. More Information/Specifics: January is 31 days while Hammer is only 30 days, but Hammer is followed by an annual festival day named Midwinter which will fall on January 31st.
There are twelve months in the Calendar of Harptos and all months are 30 days. If that doesn't coincide with the length of the RL month, the last day of the shorter month can be considered to include any extra days that follow that month, so the beginning of the month will always coincide with the beginning of the Real-Life month.
There are five annual holidays in the Calendar of Harptos that do not fall within months.
Midwinter falls on January 31st, which is an extra day after the 30 in Hammer.
Greengrass doesn't have an extra day it can fit so it shares April 30th with 30 Tarsakh (the last day in the month of Tarsakh).
Midsummer falls on July 31st. July is 31 days while Flamerule is only 30 days so 30 Flamerule is 30 July and Midsummer follows.
On leap years (2012, 2016, etc.), July 31st will also serve as Shieldmeet.
Higharvestide doesn't have an extra day it can fit so it shares September 30th with 30 Eleint (the last day in the month of Eleint).
The Feast of the Moon doesn't have an extra day it can fit so it shares November 30th with 30 Uktar (the last day in the month of Uktar).
February 28th (29th on leap years, as appropriate) will also serve as the 29th and 30th of Alturiak. |

Don't forget time still moves! We're advancing to 1380 DR in 2016. 1380 DR is Year of the Blazing Hand. 29 December 2015 is 29 Nightal 1379 DR. 30 December 2015 is 30 Nightal 1379 DR. 31 December 2015 is 30 Nightal 1379 DR. Note that when I specify one of the named holidays shares a real-life date with another Harptos calendar date on FRC, that does not mean the holiday occurs on that in-game date. The two in-game days should still be treated as distinct. What it means is that both dates are being crammed, sequentially, into the same real-life date. This preserves the month-to-month synchronization on FRC months to real-life months since each month's first day always coincides. Information below is repeated from the top post for convenience. I have bolded parts for emphasis. More Information/Specifics: January is 31 days while Hammer is only 30 days, but Hammer is followed by an annual festival day named Midwinter which will fall on January 31st.

Don't forget time still moves! We're advancing to 1385 DR in 2021. Please note that Forgotten Realms Cormyr is deviating from the published FR canon timeline so published events of 1385 DR may not (and many divine events explicitly will not) occur in the FRC timeline.1385 DR is Year of Blue Fire.29 December 2020 is 29 Nightal 1384 DR. 30 December 2020 is 30 Nightal 1384 DR. 31 December 2020 is 30 Nightal 1384 DR. A new year, time still moves In 2022 we advance to 1386 DR, the Year of the Halflings' Lament29 December 2021 is 29 Nightal 1385 DR. 30 December 2021 is 30 Nightal 1385 DR. 31 December 2021 is 30 Nightal 1385 DR. 01 January 2022 is 01 Hammer 1386 DR. 02 January 2022 is 02 Hammer 1386 DR. And so on. 28 February 2022 is 28 Alturiak 1386 DR. 28 February 2022 is 29 Alturiak 1386 DR. 28 February 2022 is 30 Alturiak 1386 DR. 30 July 2022 is 30 Flamerule 1386 DR. 31 July 2022 is Midsummer (annual holiday) 1386 DR. Next Shieldmeet isn't until 1388 DR. 01 August 2022 is 01 Eleasias 1386 DR. Some notes from our previous time keeper: The other annual holidays (Midwinter, Greengrass, Highharvestide, and The Feast of the Moon) fall on the last day of the month preceding them, as usual, sharing days with the last day of the month where there's overlap. Note: When I specify one of the named holidays shares a real-life date with another Harptos calendar date on FRC, that does not mean the holiday occurs on that in-game date. The two in-game days should still be treated as distinct. What it means is that both dates are being crammed, sequentially, into the same real-life date. This preserves the month-to-month synchronization on FRC months to real-life months since each month's first day always coincides.
