I know that gold, brass and red dragons are allowable as the rp'd "dragon disciple subtype" because they have and immunity to fire. Are other dagons that have and immunity to fire also allowed or is it only those three? Here are some other dragon types that meet the " and fire immunity" requirement: - Obsidian Dragon
- Hellfire Wyrm
- Adamantine Dragon
- Pyroclastic Dragon (though it's breath is half fire, half sonic )

I want to give this a bump because a large number of people are interested and have been asking me a zillion questions about the different types To those folks, the information can be found here: frc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=dracolotlfrcI'm rather not too keen on signing onto Obsidian, Adamantine, and Pycroclastic (especially Pycroclastic because of its joint breath), because judging by the descriptions they are dragontypes likely not willing or wanting to leave their home planes too much. Obsidian dragon being the likely one to consider leaving, more than the other two. A Hellfire Wyrm is an instigator of political corruption, likely having an interest to leave their homeplane to head into the Prime Material to spread around their influence and procreating when they so desire. FRC itself has one Hellfire patron on the prime material. That all being said...as per usual, it 'is' possible for the others to procreate with humans. Dragons are known to not be too particularly picky on what they mate with or where to go for mating if they have the means to do so. It isn't unreasonable to allow for the dragon types as they are fire immune and breath fire (like what we are unfortunately limited to on NwN)...but...I would REALLY like it if people ran their idea by a DM, first, and how/why their character would be a decendant of dragon - A B or C - instead of just rolling with something. Were the latter so loosely done, then we'll start having Drizzt-flavored dragon disciple types, always wanting to go outside of the norm (which on FRC, is Red, Gold and Brass) The above is a big fear of mine because then it ruins the exotic and intringuing appeal of the dragon disciple class, one several players do not know how to RP well and do little to no research. Perhaps I'm too hard. What baffles me is that the many DMs I spoke about making this PRC an application class actually liked the notion, though it still isnt done . Justicar made the claim that no more rules are to be changed nor modified however, so I'd imagine new applications won't ever be implimented...unless the big cheese simply changes his mind...So until then it's my hope I can passively corrupt his mind to change it ;D I think at the very least if players are wanting to go 'out of the norm', they should be obligated to seek the DM team out to run their idea through them on what fire-type dragon they wish to pick that goes outside of the expected norm FRC has. Some of us are rather good at roleplaying the class with an equally nice talent for explaining the why. Thanks, sorry for posting here, but I thought to give it a bump, answer peoples questions with that link, and offer my own long-needed rant on this.

We would like players to stick to the standard chromatic and metallic fire-based dragon types of Red, Gold, Brass.
If a player has an idea for a dragon disciple of another type, they're free to PM the DM team, but as it currently stands we do not have an open door on fire dragons of types not in the Monster Manual.
