but what does happen to this site when it comes out? Remains the same thing this site has always been: a place for me to continue to ramble on about random *troll* whilst everyone else complains to justi and dms threaten us with penguinization.

WOW. Love the graphics, might hafta upgrade though to get it to work, saw boxes out at Best Buy to preorder for this summer? Hmmmm, cannot wait, but what does happen to this site when it comes out? As discussed we will either expand this site to include NWN2 module discussion, or we will start another site entirely. The FRC module will be running for a couple more years most likely, at least one to be sure. We aren't sure yet if we are going with Cormyr or another location entirely, but if we don't go with Cormyr we will probably start a new site while still maintaining this board. Cheers!

*just watched the videos*
Ahem...to quote Justi...
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG...!!!
that looks soooooo sweet. I am so glad that they are opting for a Baldur's Gate style of party control. In NWN the henchmen were just some dudes following you around wasting spells (if you were dumb enough to choose a casting character) and not attacking the right thing, and basically eating up all your heal potions and stuff. In BG, they were a real part of your team, you controlled them, and every one was your character. I loved that, and thats why so many of those BG characters are burned into my head.
Man I cant wait.

I actually just started playing Baldur's Gate again after remembering how much fun those guys were. Minsc, Dynaher, Jaheria, Kahlid (wanker) and Imoen just to remember those guys. In BGII Jaheria, Minsc, Aerie (cause Minsc needs a new witch), Yoshimo (cause getting backstabbed is so much fun), and Jan(cause I dont think I have ever used this guy) this really was a fun game. and man, I cant wait till NWN 2 to be just as involved.

I love when programmers start using their heads more often then not Hopefully they keep programming wisely lol and reduce lag to a minimum cuz this game looks very open to lag-tastic adventures. Only time will tell. *is giddy seeing all the new nwn2 vids poping up on the net*

Agreed, BUT... they have said the walk-mesh is intensive. The best solution is going to be to port up multiple modules to one another, and is probably the route Cormyr is going before it is "finished". Cheers!

seeing as they know that modules, at least the larger ones, will have to be cut up and distributed among several servers...do you think they will provide an option to link them easily...as in 'module grouping'...just create a group, add the modules to the group, then they can interact over the net?...doesn't seem like that hard of a thing to do in theory. Just have the transition into another server search 'gamespy' or w/e for the correct trans. on the correct server, then link the player to it. then the players list would know to populate with a list of players in that group, not just that server. also...if a server goes down then the transition will just not work or it could throw your character into a limbo...a temporary holding area were you couldn't do ANYTHING to your character but walk around and chat or something, or you would have the option of just walking back out from wence you came, lol then when the other server is up again it ports you in. ... lol i kinda took that idea and ran with it....lol....i think it sounds like a good idea
