I have been told that there is a Hak that allows you to use NPC portraits and heads for PC’s in a Persistent World. I have thought in the past that I have seen some PC’s running around with non-standard heads. Does anyone know anything about this? I have not been able to find it on Neverwinter Vault. Any help would be appreciated, as I am trying an experiment on a new build. Thanks

I believe if you chose a head from a hakpack that some people on the server do not have then they will see you as headless.
Portraits on the other hand I believe get replaced by a generic portrait if the person viewing it doesn't have the same hak.

You are correct on both points. It can be rather disturbing to see headless adventurers. Be prepared to be attacked by undead destroying clerics

Hmmm.. Thanks for pointing that out. I would think since it is just cut from the CEP that everyone would see it. But there I go thinking again...

If you get the portraits that are already NPC in NWN or the portriats from CEP (HAK used on this server) others will be able to see them.
There are several files in Neverwinter Vault that already have stripped the Portraits from CEP and set them up for Download. Any of these files need to be unzipped into the Portriat folder of the NWN Folder. This will make them available when you create your PC.
If you get the Heads that are already NPCs in NWN or the heads from CEP (HAK used on this server) others will be able to see them.
Again, there are several files in Neverwinter Vault that already have stripped the Head from CEP and set them up for download. The heads need to be unzipped into your override folder of the NWN Folder. This will make them available when you create your PC.
Hope this helps.
Keep on Gaming and having fun.
