Am I crazy or is that the Alter of the Damned from the original Warcraft game? Far right column, fifth row in the "Icon Package." I swear it looks EXACTLY like it.

i recognice some of the things shown on those screenshots from haks that i've been playing around with while learning basically how to use the hak files. it definately looks great to have more crafting options for armours and such, and the quivers and scabbards really look great. i mostly wonder though, when are we gonna see a horse hak reliable enough to be included in the CEP package? that'd be really interesting.

Actually, I recognize a lot of those icons from all three warcraft games. There's one towards the bottom that looks like the blizzard spell, a couple of the books on the right look like the research upgrade for various spellcasters (necromancers and the like)... I wonder what Blizzard will have to say? ~Gallin

Uhh.... they have *big* dragons. NWN Dragons were far to small for the higher age categories. I mean, a great wyrm red dragon in NWN is as big as a giant, which is... just stupid. Now they are finally as big as they should (Not to mention you don't 'lie' anymore if you say that the dragon that attacked town was *that* big).

I used that backpack on another server and I did notice it screwed up some of my character animations and spells.
I was playing a human male cleric of Lathander and when he would cast Light (the module was very dark and Light was necessary), the Light spell wouldn't work right--the area it lit-up was much smaller than it should have been because the lightsource was placed right in front of the character's face instead of over his head, so it didn't light up behind the character at all. At first I didn't kow why stuff was screwed up but then I noticed my healing spells were animating wrong when I cast them and came to realise it was all my spells animating wrong too. Other characters weren't having a problem so at first I thought it was my character's head-model but then I had a character with a different head-model try it and he had the same problem so I took off my character's armour and tried and my spells cast fine. My armour was using all standard NWN components except the backpack so when I took it off my animations were fixed. I hope they've fixed that problem since I used the model (around September 05) but I'm not holding my breath. It does look cool, and I'd love to use it if it worked right. I also liked the long coats they used on that server (in the robe slot) but I don't see a picture of them in those new CEP shots. I'd be all over them.

The re-sized dragons are cool. Played on a server that used them too. The server's ending event was when a Godzilla-sized red dragon attacked. (It was known to dwell under the island in a five hundred year slumber.) I have some incredible screenshots.

Sweet with Kuo-toa model the Blessed Seahaven can be made, It's not directly directly under cormyr but it's close enough. ;D Close enough it can be seen as a problem by the necro drow city of Sschindylryn so it can be problem enough.

The picture is labeled "Dragon Chromatic."
I'm also looking forward to dynamic skeletons and the femur club. I've always wanted dynamic skeletons. Of course a normal skeleton doesn't necessarily have proficiency in armour (since skeletons have no INT score whatsoever) but he's also not smart enough to take it off.
There's also an arcane spell in the books that gives skeletons and zombies an INT score and they regain the weapon/armour proficiencies (but not the feats and skills) they had in life.

And there is also the Bone Creature template from BoVD to make intelligent skeletons, liches that forgot to cast spells to stop themselves from rotting, and a bunch of other undeads where it is fitting.

From what I've read it will either come out right after the 1.67 patch. Or it will come out before, but they weren't sure about the later. If they were smart they would probably just wait till afterwards, but......who know when that'll be and I think they're excited about releasing this.

It is supposed to come out just after the 1.67 patch so they can make 2da corrections, conflict corrections, etc. I have signed FRC up to receive the download earlier. They are giving priority to Persistent Worlds this this time around, so we will be able to adopt it earlier than most.

Hey I have a general question concerning the CEP. How does the CEP crafting system work? It "wraps" around the Bioware crafting functions. Basically it just overwrites the old Bioware crafting conversations and inserts new options. It then allows you to change your armor/character appearance. We ask that you not add any body parts to your character that wouldn't normally be there. Have fun crafting your armor/clothing to any appearance you would like. Does that answer your question?

This should get my crafting creative juices flowing again! One can only make so many appealing (and tactful) clothing designs with what's currently available.
