So I (Vind) have been back on the server for about 2 weeks now after my long haitus, and something has struck me as strange. Ok a couple of things, but this is the one i want to bring up. I have met several characters IG and have noticed how many characters the same levels as me (13 only and I've been here since like September lol) or more have seen so little of the server! This place is HUGE!! and not only that it is BEAUTIFUL!! there are places that I have found that I can't wait to show to Vind's buddies. That happens all the time. So why is it that so many people have never even heard of Arabel? or Dhedluk? or several other places? I dunno, get out there and find some new places, thust me, it'll be worth it! oh and when you do go wandering, get off the road and find some roses to smell. ;D

Well, I play one of those chars who never sees anything unless someone takes her. Two reasons, first I really hate to solo, I rather have someone to talk to and make the decisions for me, so when I solo I tend to stick around places near town so I can easily get back to check if there is someone in town yet that I know, second I actually get lost, my char always says she doesn't know the way, but belief me...that is me!! So when I do take her exploring I get the feeling I just wander aimlessly and lost in the far stretches of Cormyr without ever seeing anything of interest (I know it's there but I have never any luck finding anything, maybe also because I am a bit scared to leave the safety of the roads and walk into things my char just cannot handle. It is so sad to die alone.... ). And there is also an IC reason...I still have to find the motivation for my char to do the exploring all alone. When you are a ranger like you it is easy, it's your way of life. But when you are a city girl craving for attention it is a bit harder. But logan, you inspired me...next time I will do the exploring thing and make a real adventurer out of my character, who knows she might actually start to enjoy walking alone in the deep dark forest. And if nobody ever sees my Mooi again, please send a rescue party, she is probably walking rounds in some forest, completely desperate and at the brink of loosing her sanity because she just can't find her way back.

*smacks self in forehead and gathers supplies for a rescue mission*
*looks at map* Hmmm...last seen wandering aimlessly out the north gates of Redmist....*sigh* it's lucky for her she is hot and has a high Charisma....*sets off to find a Mooi on the brink of insanity*
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I haven't had a PC strong enough to explore yet. Celindra was my most powerful- lvl 7 druid. I'd always take her as far in each direction as I could before she'd die, but never made it very far. She almost made it to the King's Forest once, but the epic kobold killed her

I had a few difficulties, but it wasn't anything that potions of invisibility and careful playing didn't fix.

I know the server is anti solo... but there are chars who don't make friends very well, and are excluded on trips to go adventuring. Heck luthor is a good guy and he is still rarely asked to go out adventuring... and too often have people just kind of ignored you when you go up to talk to em when they say they are planning on going somewhere to kill stuff. Soloing is something my chars do when I am bored and noone is around. *shrug* Heck I explore on the occasion, merely because I get bored with the places I go when I'm bored >_< like the time Luthor decided to follow Tenchi and Chril's party up north to the swamp Giants...*death*

well...I wasn't really saying go do Solo adventuring...I was just saying go see some stuff. don't necessarily do it alone, but if you get a party together, don't necessarily go to a place that you have already been, but try somewhere new. But *shrugs* I have been wandering around solo a bit lately myself lately, but that's in RP of Vind. anyway, just go see some far away places in between the towns, the caravans are too expensive and boring anyway. heehee ;D
