Hey everyone:
I just wanted to drop a line regarding the upcoming focus of the server, some of my goals, and what you can expect to see in the very near future.
I have just completed a pretty significant back log of work and am shifting my focus a bit on things that need to be addressed. Eliminating the last of the major scripting bugs is a victory for all of us and has allowed me to imagine what could be, and what will be.
I am very pleased with the current content of the module and alot of the recent growth has really put the winds back in my sails to continue to strive to bring you the best experience that I can. While we continue to build the module, the focus will now be shifting ever so slightly. In a nutshell, my personal goal is to improve the general flavor and playability of the module while continuing to place the final touches on existing areas.
My personal focus will be to continue to "round out" and finish alot of existing areas. My focus will also be to further develop existing module space while encouraging and growing the module even further. You will be seeing alot of new sites around the module... some new tricks, traps and puzzles and content that will add to the general mysterious feel of many areas. Some secrets will start to be revealed, module explication will begin to commence, and the flavor improved.
Currently, we are around 60% finished with the exterior base areas in Cormyr. Slated for development are Arabel, Tilverton, Castle Crag and the Hullack Forest. There are also a couple of player guilds that need to be addressed and some internal factions that need to be completed as well, most noteably the Purple Dragons and the War Wizards.
It is at this time that we can start to develope the "end game" of the module, and the road that leads to the completion of Cormyr.
There really has never been a better time to be a player and community member here at FRC. I am very excited as we shift gears from swatting bugs to the ability to bring the content that we have always desired. Look for great things in the near future. As always, bug reports and suggestions are invaluable to improve your play experience.
The future looks better than ever for FRC!
Cheers!
