Nice shots... although... does anyone else find it a bit odd that Ranan is in *exactly* the same pose, ready to strike, in each of those pictures? As is every drow? *scratches his head*

Ranan studied drow fighting techniques? Or the drow studied Ranan's fighting techniques..?

animation mod to prevent crashes? basicly sets the animations back to the original nwn camagins. Used to use it on higher ground kept me from crashing every thirty seconds when you got 20 level 60 players Ripping magic All over the place...
maybe its an idea, to stop crashes here, but you character looks like robot if you use it

Does that help with just general client side graphics lag as well? Would think it would. Which I knew about that months ago.

Grozer is using the combat animation override, which changes his animations. It's a voluntary choice and he could stop using it by just removing the override from his override folder. The override is why he and the drow both have those wide stances.

Really? I dont recall adding any override?

You may not remember it, but your screenshots indicate it. That wide stance you're using isn't the standard NWN combat stance.
It looks like you're using the Alternative Combat Animations v2, however I can't find a copy of that to tell you the name of the file to look for in override. (The poses in Alternative Combat Animations v3 are different and the file name may be as well.)

Ok, I found the Alternative Combat Animations v2. It has different combat animations by race, so you may not be using it since you're clearly using the same animation as those drow. Maybe you have Alternative Combat Animations v1.
OK, I found my copy of Alternative Combat Animations v1. (I never throw anything away):
I'll try swapping out my override folder to see if I can duplicate that stance with one of the overrides so I can tell you for sure.

Well...it isn't v1. Here's the checklist: v1: Nope. v2: This appears to be the one you're using. v3a: Untested v3b: Untested v3c: Untested v3d: Untested I'll update this post as I test them so I stop cluttering up your picture thread. I tested v2 on Lydia and as a side effect it also makes the necks of female characters shorter. This appears to be the case in your screenshots as well. This picture, for instance, the female's hat is so prominent because it's not on her head, it's above it. These are the files that are in Alternative Combat Animations v2. You'll find them in your NWN\override folder. 2004.01.28 18:46 412,792 alt_dwarf.MDL 2004.01.22 03:34 357,885 alt_dwarf1.MDL 2004.01.22 01:54 386,466 alt_dwarf_f.MDL 2004.01.22 03:13 413,417 alt_dwarf_f1.MDL 2004.01.23 19:32 279,972 alt_elf.MDL 2004.02.12 04:14 404,640 alt_elf_f.MDL 2004.01.24 18:00 280,424 alt_elf_f1.MDL 2004.01.04 18:22 407,371 alt_fa.MDL 2004.02.12 03:25 105,704 alt_halfling.MDL 2004.02.12 04:08 409,195 alt_halfling_f.MDL 2004.02.12 03:36 105,846 alt_halfling_f1.MDL 2004.01.28 22:03 421,488 alt_halforc.mdl 2004.01.28 21:47 379,445 alt_halforc_f.MDL 2004.01.28 22:11 366,229 alt_halforc_f1.MDL 2004.01.21 15:42 291,450 alt_human.MDL 2004.01.21 19:33 621,744 alt_human_f.MDL 2003.12.15 11:35 376,942 a_ba.MDL 2004.01.05 23:26 26,450 pfa0.MDL 2004.01.22 03:21 26,337 pfd0.MDL 2004.01.21 19:36 4,781 pfe0.MDL 2004.01.21 19:23 5,550 pfh0.mdl 2004.01.28 19:45 5,554 pfo0.MDL 2004.01.05 23:32 24,974 pma0.MDL 2004.01.20 02:01 24,949 pmd0.MDL 2004.01.02 20:12 4,724 pme0.MDL 2004.01.17 15:03 4,660 pmh0.mdl 2004.01.13 19:42 4,669 pmo0.MDL In addition to those, the Alternative Combat Animations v2 also includes a weapon model override which you may have. Hnn... this would look nice next to the fireplace. Who says you cant be utterly evil and not take pleasure in some of the more simple things? Yes Ranan does have a romantic side. (kidding) With Bloodstil dead, I thought it would be ok to post some of the screenies now. I need to dig around to find others though I dont believe I have that many. Here are two of my favorites... a bounty hunter is looking for Ranan: Ranan arrives in his personal chambers (can you see the disarmed trap that the visitor so kindly left behind seeing how it did nothing to deter him). Ranan thought he snuck away and covered his tracks.
