Legally in D&D rules, I don't know, but here in FRC and CEP2 anyone and everyone can ride any of the rideable horsies and ponies.

**** So far I have 9 authentic Faerunian Horses. Then 2 special mounts, Nightmare and Celstrial War Horse, which will depend on class and alignment, and can't be bought or gotten through convential means. Anyways here is what they are. www.candlekeep.com/library/articles/horse.htm **** Usurper, There is also the intelligent Moon-Horse on Evermeet (FRC 3ed page 147 under Horsefields and page 126 of Elves of Evermeet). If you use it, I would think that it would have to be a prestige mount or a notable NPC. www.enworld.org/cc/converted/magical_beast/moon-horse.htmAlso, I believe there is a Steppe Pony (FRC 3ed page 145 and box set The Horde), used by the nomads in the Hordelands. I think there may also be one from the Moonshae Isles, but I could not find anything on it. I thought there was a breed of horse used by ( ?) to fight trolls, they are a famous fighting force. I cant remember their calvary military name … I wanted to say they fight in the Trollmoors.. but I cant find anything on that either. If anyone knows who I am rambling about please chime in What I would like to know is, can you fight from horseback and can you make one your familiar? ;D

Just a quick question;
Do we need *all* the files in the CEP2 package to play FRC?
I'm ok as I've got a newish PC but my friend has an old machine and will struggle to find 2 Gb for all the new files.
If all the files aren't going to be used (at least for now), is there a minimum install?
Thanks!

Unfortunately for your friend we have opted to go with the full install which includes new creatures, tiles, items, blueprints, scripts, etc, etc. It will vastly improve the server going forward so we chose to do what we thought to be "for the greater good", and apologize to those folks who will be left out of the fun.

Anyone who's ever ridden a horse will tell you that a dwarf, hin, and gnome can indeed learn to ride.
Little kids ride horses all the time.
A pony would be easier, but it's by no means impossible for them to ride a big one.

Look at the name of the file extention. If it's a .hak file, put it in the hak folder. If it's an .erf file, put it in the erf folder, and so on. There should be a folder for each file type.

True, but dwarves, hin and gnomes already look stupid, so they don't lose anything by riding a big horse. :-P

NP! I would have rolled a character and come on last night, but I didn't have CEP2. Luckily my job has a T1 line. n00b-me! See ya tonight probably. I haven't decided on a character, but I think I will make one that is like Rackhir the Red Archer (look it up if ya don't know!)
