Hiya! I've enjoyed playing the character I have thus far, but I'm feeling like I made an error in the class choices I've made for the character. I'm shooting for an Arcane Archer (pun only slightly intended). Considering the way I've been playing him ( stealthy, light armor, avoiding melee when possible), I feel like I'd have been far better off playing as a Rogue/Wizard as opposed to a Fighter/Wizard that he is currently. Is it allowed and/or possible to "rewind" the character or will I need to start over with a new character? I've done a search and seen a couple of different threads for character rebuilds, one saying, "sure"... and one saying, "we don't do that..." Thought I'd ask (figure the worst that could happen is that I get a resounding "no"... along with a family curse lasting 7 generations... )

A maximum of one character rebuild is permitted per player per year, and each rebuild must be approved by the DM Team. You can submit your request to the DM Team by PMing a member of the staff. (I recommend including multiple DMs on the same PM, so you don't risk PMing the one that happens to be on hiatus for two weeks at that time.)

Another option is to restart your character. Roll them up new and play from level 1. You will want to ask a DM to invalidate the old version. If the previous version of a character is under level 10, it really won't take a terribly long time to get them back up to the old level.

The character actually *is* under lvl 10 currently level 7).
In anticipation of having to restart from level 1, I've already started a new character that will be the Rogue/Wizard he should have been.
I'm currently away on vacation. Once I get back home, I'll send up a flare to have the original character deactivated.
Thanks much!

If the name is not the same and they're distinctly different characters, you could keep both, of course. The deactivation of the older character is basically just so there's not a potential for two different versions of the same PC running around.

Something I forgot to mention. If you do wish it to be the same character rather than a different character, you will need to alter the name slightly. Generally placing an additional space between the first and last name is sufficient. If you name the remake exactly the same as a previous iteration, it can cause issues when loading your character.

No worries... I added a surname to the rebuild character, so it will be easy enough to distinguish. Thanks much!
