I tried to see if there was a post about this already on the forums and a search didn't bring up anything. Over the last couple of years I've been watching a live streaming show called Critical Role. It has "nerdy (arse) voice actors that play ". Critical Role Main WebsiteI bring this up for two reasons. I want to know if there are any fellow fans here and I wanted people to know why you pretty much won't find me in game on Thursday nights. So, any Critters in the house?

Actually this(on youtube), The Forgotten Realms Lore channel, Esper the Bard, nad Black Magic Craft channels was one of the reason I got the itch to come back and start playing again.

I've caught a few episodes, but I find it really hard to catch them live. Catching up is one of those things that is eternally on my 'to-do' list.

I'm pretty much in Fluffy's boat (being hard to catch them live these days), I used to watch it live when I had more free time, but don't get the chance these days and tend to watch an episode once in a while but I always find there's so many things to do and so little free time.

I've watched the first campaign and is currently going through their one-shots. It's impossible for me to follow them live since that's in the middle of the night for me. So I keep up with them on Youtube at my own pace and avoid places where episodes and events are discussed.

Fantastic! Bidet fellow Critters! And, yes, Critical Role and one or two other broadcasted sessions got me back into PnP D&D, writing, and just roleplay in general. I currently have one semi-regular session as a DM for 5th Edition. The want for roleplay and some encouragement from a soul or two here on FRC brought me back.

I did not find 5e in the end attractive to me , i love the complexity of 3.5 most likely Pathfinder

I did not find 5e in the end attractive to me , i love the complexity of 3.5 most likely Pathfinder To each their own. I find the streamlining of 5e to be more liberating. I'm going with a homebrew campaign so being able modify the world as I need it works for me. Less making the story work for the stats and more having the stats work for the story. I also love the dropping of alignment requirements for Paladins and other things.

Yes! This is another one I'm setting time aside to watch. Her way of DMing is different my own style and others I've seen. I don't think I can pull things off like Deborah Ann Woll can, but I'm definitely taking notes.

Late chime here, but yup. Also a Critter. I used to watch stuff like Rollplay and some stuff recommended to me like Missclicks, but then found upon Critrole and binged *hard*, few episodes a day when I got the time spare. I'm in a perpetual cycle of catching up, and I never see them live sadly being in the UK. But yep, I'm a fan. <3

Oh m'garsh more Critters and . . .
Animation is ooooooooon!
Those fools thought to just ask for $750,000 on Kickstarter to make one 22 minute episode. Critters blew that out of the water in the first hour and continued to lob truckloads of money on to the cast and crew. Final tally after 45 days?
88,887 backers pledged $11,385,449
It's now a full 10 episode season, each episode 22 minutes, so we get the pre-stream story and the Briarwoods story arc. I am excite!
Critters be farkin' legion man.
