I can tell you that I have logged in less, not at all because of this update and I believe FORSETIS's absence is job-related.
As the player of a high-level character, I care near zero about XP. In other places, I've spoken about just how much xp comes from the RP and OOC time investments in plotting I'm involved with (and others have PM'd me to agree). Its like 50xp (max) for every RL hour of time spent or something stupidly low. Just today I spent 3 hours working on plans for the Black Ball and that equated to three gods out of eleven. It'll easily be 10 to 15 hours just to think up and describe the gods' events. I love traveling with low levels outside my range for zero xp and I'd gladly trade thousands of XP for anything different, neat and exciting. Being able to rake in the XP into your thirties isn't the point of being in your thirties. Characters in their thirties should be leading the charge for server changes and creating stories lower levels can join. They should be focal points for topics of conversation or whispers of intrigue. To me, the highlight of a level thirty plus isn't how many times they've slaughtered giants and the xp that comes from it. If you enjoy slaughtering things then reroll and go slaughter things in a level range where there are tons of things to kill and lots of xp to make. Don't try and force your way deep into your thirties by grinding quest xp week after week after week. Do that and you'll have a level 40 nobody knows anything about, has no story to tell, and has no respect earned. My point: Stop caring about xp into your thirties. XP in your thirties shouldn't be the point on FRC.

Then I take it by the votes that 60% of FRC community doesn’t get the point of FRC and whatsoever ?

Then I take it by the votes that 60% of FRC community doesn’t get the point of FRC and whatsoever ? Incorrect. 60% of the people who voted in this poll don't get the point. The 'FRC Community' encourages those who wish for quicker leveling to move on to a server that better serves their needs. It's never been about 'number of people logging in'. Regardless, FRC has always been one of the more popular NWN servers, both before and after EE, still is, and will continue to be.

This is starting to sound like some recent political debates. If you vote a certain way, you "don't get the point". You get the point exactly, you just have a differing opinion about it.

What about instead of having excuses to avoid the topic, we actually try to find a solution that works for most of the people who appreciate FRC so we can have a larger regular player base and not push people off. More active players means a world that feels much more alive, which is very much needed for a roleplaying server. Also, don’t get me wrong here, but 30 players isn’t much and doesn’t make a server one of the most popular, in my opinion. I’m still angered about this rebalance, because I’m trying to play my epic level character and I can hardly find any meaningful roleplay around. Primarily because I have a hard time finding epic level characters to roleplay with, because of what? Do tell me. And also, even though I am trying very hard to introduce my character into any sort of in game interactions, I get rejected every so often. So what’s left for me to do? Dongeon with friends, but now the XP at epic level is greatly reduced. So the grinding becomes long and discouraging. Don’t get me wrong, yes I am playing every day, and everyday it seems harder to find anyone to have meaningful RP with or to dongeon with. Again, that’s my opinion. Thanks.

The problem here is that you won't stop until you get your way. The topic has not been avoided, it has been discussed ad nauseum for quite a while now, this thread alone has well over 200 posts, and a decision has been made by management. There comes a point when relentless whining becomes very tiresome.
I'd like to know your definition of popular. FRC is always in the top 10 for people logged in and usually in the top 5. Thirty isn't a lot? 90% of servers have less than 5 logged in most times. At least half have zero.

Disagreeing is one thing. Whining for months about it is something else.
Yes, if higher XP rewards are a priority for you, then you should consider yourself encouraged to explore your options.

Why are you so against other players wanting higher XP rewards? I don't understand what's so critical about this. Some players want to run dungeons frequently, what's the big issue?

Slow advancement is one of the features of this server. It took me 3 years to reach level 20 and I saw no problem with that. It's not that I am against faster leveling per se, I also play on that server I mentioned above that gives 150xp per kill. When I want that, I play there, when I want the flavor that FRC has created, I play here. With so many options, I don't understand why people become so determined to change a server that doesn't fit their style.

Retaining high level characters and having a good choice of them to adventure with has -always- been hard.Your issue is that xp gains are your goal. XP gains should be a -result- of enjoyable things your character is involved in (RP or adventuring), not the -goal- of going and doing things.

Tchill down dude, you are expressing yourself as if you were the headmaster of this forum and server. And now you are telling me to shut my mouth because you say the argument I am trying to put forward has already been discussed. Sure it was discussed, but how did things change in the history of time, because of people like me complaining over and over again, trying to prove their ideology against conservative people of your kind. I believe what is very tiresome here is your own lack of respect toward me who is expressing a simple idea to try and change things for the best of all and everyone, just like the votes indicate. I know the DM’s have and will always have the final word on this, but I hope this specific update comes under the spotlight at a moment or another and it can be noticed as an important factor of the regular player base drop. Thanks again.

Nobody is saying you can't run dungeons frequently. Run them all day, everyday. What -is- being said is that grinding quests week after week for disproportionately huge xp gains was contributing too much to characters shooting into their thirties too quickly for what FRC's staff felt was appropriate.

Howdy folks, This topic has been discussed at length. I see very little potential for further constructive discussion at this spot on the road. The constructive points made in this thread have been noted. As stated previously, XP rebalancing on FRC is an iterative process and will evolve over time. Let's give this dead horse a rest for now. PS - Please don't vote multiple times in the same community poll. We know who you are Locking the thread for now.
