Below you will find the outline of rules for the official FRC Discord Server.
FRC Forum & FRC Community Discord
FRC’s forum is the heart of our online community and communication (frc.proboards.com/). It is not a requirement to create an FRC Forum account but reading and understanding the rules posted in our forum is mandatory for all FRC Community Members. The forum also serves as the official hub for services such as bug reporting, making suggestions, or requesting help from a DM.
The FRC Community Discord is a service shared by our players and staff to chat outside of game. The discussions in the FRC Discord are informal. FRC Community members are not required to join the Discord but everyone is welcome to participate. The FRC Community Discord is not an alternative to our forum however when officially reporting bugs, making suggestions, or asking for DM Assistance.
Server Rules
Server Rules are mandatory reading for all of those who wish to be apart of the FRC community. The FRC Discord follows the same guidelines and limitations as our FRC Forum rules. Not reading them or being aware of them is not an excuse for breaking them.

Posting Limitations
DO NOT include: insults, flames (trolling , baiting, toxicity and harm to the community), cussing (or swearing or vulgarities), discriminatory remarks (including racist, hate, sexist or any other related material), spam, advertisements (such as self promotion or promotion for another), pornography (topics or jokes), illegal material, or a link to any of the previously mentioned material in ANY of your posts. We also ask that FRC Community Members refrain from the sensitive off-topic discussions regarding politics and religion to help maintain an environment more suitable to our online gaming community. Violating these rules can lead to you being muted and/or banned and/or having your post deleted.
Screen Name Limitations
No one may impersonate an admin/mod, in title, signature or action.
No one may steal the name of or represent themselves falsely as another community member on the forum. (Identity Theft)
This is a serious offence and could lead to immediate banning.
FRC Nickname Consistency
As the FRC Staff interact with players in game, in the forum, and in the Discord, it can be confusing when players use different names between them. This can make it difficult for staff to assist a player asking for help if the player isn't easily recognized. Therefore, we are making it a requirement that FRC Community Discord Nicknames must be one of the following:
- The FRC Player’s Forum Name
- The FRC Player’s Main Player Account Name in Game
If FRC DM’s or PA’s don’t recognize a name in the Community Discord, the player will be asked to change the name. If the Player refuses to change their name the staff will mute the player in the Discord until the name is changed. The FRC DM’s and PA’s also reserve the right to require a player to change their FRC Community Discord name if they feel it is inappropriate.
If your FRC forum account becomes inactive or deleted or you switch your FRC Forum account names, you must make your FRC Community Discord name match your current and active forum account name.
Please go ahead and change your FRC Community Discord name now if needed to match your forum name and/or your main player account name in game. If you decline and are muted you will still be able to read our Discord Server, but will be unable to post until your name is updated and recognized.
FRC Discord = OOC
The FRC Discord Server is considered Out of Character (OOC) information. Nothing that is communicated here can be used for In Character (IC) action or development. If you wish to make IC actions or roleplay, you may do so by logging into the FRC NWN server or with use of the official FRC forum.
Silent Group Syndrome
It is discouraged and frowned upon to log into the FRC server and use voice services like Discord to group and grind without any roleplay. When the DM team witnesses groups of two or more walking in absolute silence with no use of roleplay to communicate presence or basic dungeon tactics, then it is generally assumed that the party is communicating their needs in an OOC fashion. This needs to be avoided as to not erode immersion in roleplay. Do not form up OOC parties to grind xp on FRC.
Thank you,
The FRC Staff
