Background - In my entire time on FRC I've been involved with PvP only three times. Two of these instances were in the last month. So I am justifiably uninformed about PvP. It's not something I have ever sought out, but both instances were quite a lot of fun.
Question - The rule under griefing says a character can only be engaged once. "Griefing is the act of repeated harassment or killing of another player's characters. Players may engage in PvP with as many players per day as they wish if the roleplay reasons are valid but they may only engage each individual player once."
Does this mean a character can only be killed once in a PvP encounter or that the engagement lasts until it is entirely resolved, meaning that hypothetically a character could be killed then raised and killed again infinity times before the entire fight is resolved?
Under a story or DM quest setting I don't think it is as important, but as it happened to me twice in a week just before Christmas I thought it better to clarify so I understand it perfectly.
Cheers!

If the fight is still actively on-going, it's still the same PVP. Someone doesn't get benched as a valid target in the same fight if they're revived in the middle of the same fight. This would fall under the same category as the 30-Minute PVP Death-Amnesia. Basically, if the PVP Death-Amnesia wouldn't apply when the person is Raised, then it's the same PVP. The only time Death-Amnesia doesn't really apply, though, is when the person is raised from the dead while there is still active PVP combat between two (or more) sides. If the PVP stops, such as for the two sides to talk, even to offer taunts without attack actions occurring, then the PVP is not the same PVP should fighting resume. The person has Death-Amnesia and should not be targeted for PVP again in the same day. I recommend reading up on the details of Death-Amnesia as its rare exceptions have been spelled out in great detail so as to avoid abuse on either side of the combat.

Thanks, I wasn't asking about death amnesia, just the mechanics of PvP and its relation to griefing. Appreciate the help.

I drew a relation between where one PVP ends and where Death-Amnesia occurs.
