I was wandering around exploring - i believe around Espar Waymoot Dheluk - but clearly i am wrong. Came across an illusionist - who sold polymorph into human and gnome and other stuff. Tried looking for him again - now that i have the money to buy his stuff and cant find him. Clearly i am looking in the wrong spot. Does anyone know which area he is in?

That is the thing about illusionist, there sneaky things. One minuet there there, and then they vanish, you killed them but find out they were sipping tea with there grand mother the whole time. Tricky lot don't ya know!

Area directly East of waymoot - near the dire spiders. (Thank you "Gathera") Been there many times. Illusionist did not spawn for me this reset or last reset. I will post when he does - or count off resets as he doesnt. He seems to be more stubborn than Merris.

All that I can say is that I checked the merchant out. For me he appeared and was his same old charming self.

This is the same sort of shenanigans that the Greatgaunt Silvanite priest enjoys... probably a bit of high-fackery and scripting both, but I am leaning well into the high-fackery side of things.

Gaah! Gnomes just don't like me.
Wait maybe its the dreaded Gnome outlaw gang! Ring of polymorph into gnome - - - (if you become an outlaw - you can polymorph and be someone different) BUT even better you can plan on doing OUTLAW acts - polymorph into a gnome - conduct the evil deeds - and return to normal to confuse the guards.
What the gnomes(s), robbed the bank again - - gnomes murdered who?? - - - gnomes stole the babies candy? For the love of Helm have they no decency?!
Admittedly with polymorph self potions available to purchase - you could do similar things with a troll etc - but they would be set upon in town - - whereas your gnome is but an innocent citizen.
Really those accidental OUTLAWS - really have not put enough thought into their dastardly ways.

Back when D&D 3.5 was released, some friends and I thought WotC really should have fixed the Paladin by changing their class ability to Smite Gnome.
