That's a thing I do now. So I'll be posting the finished pieces here, though other players may be putting there's into the portrait thread and you may see them in game. I'll talking a little about my process and such.

I'll be starting with my own because I'm mega vain like that. Even though you've probably already seen it. As the player of Zadhura, I already know how I wanted her to come across in her portrait. Closed off body language and mistrust as your gaze meets. Getting the expression just right was also a challenge in itself, she can't look too hostile or angry. But she definately appears dour and unwelcoming. Backgrounds are my weakness and tend to be super low effort because I'm already fried on the colouring by this point. So I kept it light and breezy with some organic tree-like shapes. Here you do little details that are important to the character. Zad's scars for instance.

Arveene's was easy to do. The character is bold, flirty and totally shameless, this is easy to represent early on. Then I just have to clean it up by drawing over the sketch in a new layer (Wacom tablet btw) to better establish her facical shape and ridiculous bewbage. The challenge was trying to maintain a feminine appearance despite the 20 something strength the character has. Those muscles are simply going to show. Arveene's mixed heritage actually favours on the human a bit more, hence blue eyes and smaller tusks. Like Zadhura however, her lips remains slightly parted to accomodate them. I also glossed over the background, it was meant to be a tavern interior, but as I was doing it, I realized it looked way more like an exterior... of... something. Something cityish. This isn't the portrait used in game, we decided the skin on this one was a little too green. I didn't notice it until I viewed on another screen and realised my gamma might be off. It was easily fixed by simply adjust the hue, though.

Octavian is known to drink, he's also known to grin smugly from time to time, that was the basis of this characters creation. The important part was getting the details in the eyes right. He's begun going through RDD changes and this is reflected some-what in the characters design. This one was pretty fun. Getting all the details in the messy bed head, as well as adding in the teeth. Soot-stains on his gloves and on the glass. The glass was real challenging. I've no idea how to paint slightly transparent objects with water in them. I threw a very faint orange overlay over the top with a few wispy lines to compliment the outer glow of is outline to imply the mystical fiery power he holds.

Malisiana 'Em' is known for her shrugging and socially awkward demenour. On the flip side, she's known for smiling and offering a thumbs up. I went for the more introspective body language, I feel that better sums up her character. Had to slightly reposition her to get all the bow in. Went for a super baggy top that hides her figure and gives her a more androgenous appearance. Have to rely on softer facial features and a gentle sloping to the neck and shoulders to maintain a feminine appearance. Went for a ruddier skin colour because Malisiana is generally outdoorsy in nature. I forgot to add the scar on her neck, but that can be easily fixed.

I don't know much about Lisbeth, but from the ingame pictures of her I was given to work with, it's fair to assume she's flirty and larger than life. I threw in a bit of Bayonetta with her posing. The teeth needed straightening and the fingers made a little stumpier. Threw in some bold colours to match her personality. Needed some final touches however, the eyes lightened and skin made warmer.

Not really a portrait, but I was just pleased with how this one turned out. A different character I used to play in a modern setting.

Answers here Did you get 'em? Well done.

Portrait dump from the last few months. A commission to make a 'Smirking Elf Wizard wearing a naval officer's coat and holding a staff with a compass atop it. Jadis Kendara, a physically tortured soul with a heart of a golem. Famorra Arendayel, star elf, former drow captive, support sorcerer. Sieglinde Lisseaux, caliban bard. Natham Colt, chultan druid, pervy scumbag. Ailga Noname, orphan country girl. Unknown, low charisma elf. Joachim Schrotter, Falkovnian gendarme. (I dislike this one.) Katraka, Fearghas, Sieglinde and Victore; Riding a flaming chariot of fire into the city of brass. Lady Commissar, an attempt at something black, white and punchy.

Ten years apart, ew So many things wrong What kind of building is he stood on? Is it a church? If it is it must be one of those really little ones you get in western frontier towns. Also. How can it be raining if it's a clear sky!? And what kind of MOON IS THAT?!?!?!
