* As you enter Greatgaunt you see fliers of a soon to show play by an upcoming bard known as Darminus. As you look at the date you see that the day is today and you hurry to the town square. With only a few adventurers huddled near by the stage you see the curtains open and a man dress in simple beggars clothing step forth. He begins to speak*
" This is a story of an amazing group of adventurers that defeated a terrifying clan of bugbears. The characters in this story are The leader otherwise known as The Bearded Lady Leader. The Silent One a human male who keeps to himself and swings his deadly blade. The Archer, A woman with talents beyond mere rangers of the wood. The priest, a cleric of Torm whom spends long walks on the beach and follows the bearded lady leader without faulter. Then finally our hero of the story ..... The Bard, A fierce warrior of lore who faces those who wish his allies harm head on with great poise and aptitude."
“The story begins with the group of misfits meeting each other in a small hovel of a town in the far reaches of Cormyr. After receiving the news of a band of bugbears gather in large amounts in the forests nearby. The group decides to dispatch these foes and rid the town of the growing menace. They follow the road out of town and head toward the forest. Picking off small goblinoid foes before entering the thickest portions of the woods. As they enter the forest the group spots a few of their prey they seek. Knowing that they are on the right path they engage the bugbears with a fierce battle cry. The bearded lady leader swings her axe and crushes two bug bears under the weight and strength of her strike. The Silent ambushes one of the bug bears with quick jab to the neck fileting the head from its body. The archer lets loose a knocked arrow and penetrates a far-off bugbear archer’s eye. The archer falls to the ground and lays lifeless. The priest stands back and defends against flanking attacks of the now aware bugbear mass. The Bard rushes to her aid and flings himself into the mass kill each one with a switch strike to the jugular. As the battle subsides they take a minute to rest then continue their trek deeper into the woods.”
- The actor speaks in a narrative like voice as he performs swings and jumps to mimic the fight.
*The actor takes a moment to catch his breathe. At the same time the hin once again runs across the stage with a sign that says, “Act Two: The lost companion”. The actor then continues his story. *
“As the adventurers continue into the forest they near a cave that has no see-able way around. The adventures stop and to decide on what to do. The bearded lady leader then notices that one of their group is missing. She alerts the group “Where that archer go” in a bellowing concerned voice. The silent immediately sets off to look for the missing companion. After a short while with nothing of a response from either companion the leader starts to get impatient. The silent one then returns and shakes his head as to finding the archer. Suddenly off in the distance the archer is seen running toward the group. Behind the archer is an immensely large dragon cleaving trees as it chases the archer down. Before the archer is grabbed by the dragon our hero shouts in his bellowing bardic voice “shoo shoo” . The dragon comes to a terrifying halt. The dragon fearfully leaves and head back to where it came.”
- The actor continues his performance as he imitates the scenes and portrays a large screeching dragon.
** As he finishes his last sentence rain starts to fall and the actor waves to the crowd and says “ The play will continue shortly “.**
