A slightly perfume smelling letter is sent to the Great Hall in Valkur's Roar, addressed for Baron Azorus Crownsilver.
Greetings Lord Crownsilver,
I recently passed through your fair city and noticed that your manor was still in ruin since the attack last summer. With all due respect, leaving your home in such a poor state does not make for a very welcoming sight, and people might think that Your Lordship is in similar disarray.
As I am sure you are well aware, appearance is of utmost importance for a figure of authority, to present yourself to the public with certainty and strength. As people walk by the manor every day, they see it more often than they see you, and for most that is as close as they get to the local Lord. In it's current state the manor lacks any of the qualities one would expect in a great leader. In these uncertain times when riots and dragons burn homes all across the realm, symbols of hope and stability are in high demand.
Since the manor has remained in such a poor state, I can only surmise your wealth and the city's coffers are not brimming with coin, or that you spend it on more noble matters first, sacrificing your own comfort for those who have less. Admirable as it may be, the ruined manor remains a terrible scar on your city, reminding all who walk by not of self-sacrifice, but of riots and dissent. Let it not remain a symbol of hate and violence, but turn it into a jewel of this city, let it rise from the ashes like a phoenix of hope and prosperity.
Thus, I would like to extend a helping hand and offer Your Lordship financial assistance in renovating your grand manor to its former splendour. If you are interested, I would be honoured to discuss matters in person so we can find a solution that works best for you and Valkur's Roar.
Sincerely,
Valera Serena
