Some OOC:
Thank you everyone for being involved in this story over the last few months. I truly hoped you enjoyed it and it has left a lasting impression on your characters in the time to come.
Thank you to everyone as well for taking the time to post in the other two role play threads. I apologise for not being able to have this post up sooner for you all. Please consider this the official representation of the aftermath of Ixamarunmaughzeraph. You can edit your previous posts in the other threads now that the time-bubble is done with to make it all more cohesive. You can post these responses here.
I hope I have cleared up the NPC response adequately. If you have any questions related to response times or you feel I have left out an important detail, please PM me and I will add it IC here.
Lastly, the Hilp areas used in the finale will soon become a new area to adventure in thanks to the build team.

Suzail
The response in the capital was swift. Those guards and military who remained unscathed helped their brothers and sisters to the House of Healing to have their wounds tended. Many volunteers flood the house, aiding the healers in their duty. Women bring breads and staples to feed the masses and farmers donate some of their remaining crop to help those who protected their homes and families.
Citizens come together to clean and purge the streets of the dragon’s taint and soon the stench of smoke and sulphur is lifted from the air.
Labourers begin repairing the damaged and burned buildings throughout the capital. They start in the core of the city, where the dragon centred his focus on the Wizard’s tower and received the most damage. Most of the city remained unscathed. The stone withstanding the fire and only minor structural damage to a handful of buildings.
At the western, northern, and eastern entries to the city, carpenters and stonemasons are employed to repair the gates and walls that so stalwartly defended their city. Here, where most of the dragon’s forces were repelled show the greatest destruction. The outlying farms and houses losing most of their crops and livestock. The sentry buildings burnt and some even falling to rubble.
The War Wizards walk the streets more often than usual, generally accompanied by a Purple Dragon or two. Citizens praise and thank them for their protection and marvel at their magnificent display in repelling Ixamarunmaughzeraph from the capital. They also express their sorrow for the destroyed Hilp, but for the will of the gods, that could have been their fate.
Some refugees enter the city and the inns and taverns soon fill. Those who were left with nothing sleep in the streets of the slums, begging for aid.
Guards return to their posts and markets re-open, soon the city is bustling once more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hilp
This once active town has lost all its humour and charm from its namesake. Destroyed by the dragon’s fury. Buildings smoulder, smoke and sulphur pervade the air and seem likely to do so for some time to come. Charred bodies litter the lanes and paths. Simple folk who died trying to flee the fire and molten rock lay alongside kobolds, giants, and orc. The stench of their burnt flesh is at times, overwhelming.
Those who try to enter the town are met with the remnant dragon forces. They seem to come out of the charred woodwork. Persistent and violent, they remain a nuisance and repel any effort to begin the clean-up and eventual rebuild.
Farmers who return to the outskirts of the town to survey the damage, speak of seeing a half-dragon beast fly into the burning town after the battle. Other refugees of Hilp flee to Suzail or Immersea. All of them traumatised, most of them destitute, they roam the streets seeking aid. The cost of Quirineldeningeir’s freedom came at a great cost for these simple folk. They cry for their loved ones lost, their homes, and their livelihoods. Moralities lost on them as they mourn, grieve, and bear the scars. Some speak of vengeance; others are simply in disbelief. They will never forget the day the dragon stole their lives.

The Swordcaptain asks the regular Blades and Firstswords in each respective city to remove the posters as they begin to accumulate. She offers no public rationale. As Valera walks through Suzail, she notices that her advertisements has been taken down. She asks around with local merchants, innkeepers and guards if they know why they were taken down, or who may be responsible, saying she fears that she may be the target of some rude gnomes who has sabotaged her advertisements before. Regardless if Valera found out who (?) may have taken down her Cornucopia advertisements, a couple of days later they are put up again by the Cormex Delivery Service in Suzail and Immersea. This time there are two different Cornucopia posters... First the one about discounts... And secondly, the one announcing the Cornucopia Foundation...
// Also, bumping this thread since the information on Hilp seems to have been easy to miss. Hilp is currently not a safe place to visit, and as mentioned in the first post in this thread will get an update eventually.

The Royal Corps of Monster Hunters seems undaunted by the resistance and continues to work around the destroyed town of Hilp. They do not focus much on actual cleanup or restoration, and instead collect bodies of the fallen that any scavengers have not stolen yet. The Swordcaptain leading their efforts does not refuse any occasional help from adventurers, but to those who ask she explains that they owe the people there their last rites and a proper burial at the least. Others can work on reclaiming the town when the time is right. They would meet any resistance from remaining dragon troops with force, but don't pursue them if they break off. Their mission really does seem to be as explained, retrieval of bodies or any remaining survivors. The Swordcaptain wouldn't have hidden her request to the soldiers on the first set of removals, but neither would she have advertised it. She'd repeat the request to the regularly-patrolling Dragons in regards to the first poster, but not the second.

Assuming that most recoverable bodies have been found (or scavenged by enemies) within a month, the Swordcaptain finally dismisses any of the RCMH back to their regular duties. She takes a final accounting of numbers and makes her way to report to the War Wizards.

Elon is aiding henrik in the house of healing, likewise using his speed to fetch supplies and relay messages for the hosue of healing, as well treating those seeking aid in this House of Ilmater The above is after the suzail but before the match to Hilp ========= The 2 entries below are after Hilp was over on the server side of things Elon aids various allies mop up ( running into Bao, Helga, and Nyssa to name a few) the last of the red dragon forces hiding out in hilp in the hidden corners, houses, basement, castle and the burrows under the town. Fully defeating the last of the forces of the red dragon, Elon sets up a temporary healers tent in the center of town to either patch up any crown troops or adventurers, or aid with the last rites of any dead found that cannot be id'ed or no one claims to as a monk of the Triad order. Lastly when all duties are attended to, the final task. He gathers the dead of the foes. He gathers them all in prep for a somber funeral pyre ceremony. Even if the foes deserved death, conflict over, may the spirits be put to peace. Prayers and hymns chanted, the pyre is lit far outside from the conflict cities of hilp and suzail but with in line of sight of the road, but still a fair distance from the road's edge. He stays til the pyre flames ember out and grow cold, to keep the pyre going safely to the end, Silently chanting the hymns of the Triad to guide the lost dead to peace. ========= Before the pyre ceremony for the bodies of the defeated, Elon leaves the care of his temporary healers tent to a relief shift from the house of healing of suzail. Elon gathers what volunteers he can to go fallen body of the brave brass dragon. If the body is still there, he calls out to the heavens in a loud clear voice in common and draconic and elvish .... Stating he and what volunteers he has (NPC and PCs alike, join up if you want guys ^_^). He states his full name and he is a monk of the triad order of divine resurrection, and he will carry the body respectfully to the Bahamut shrine near the east gate of suzail. He does this before and during the carrying of the body. If challenged by a metal dragon he will humbly submit to its wishes in regards to the brass dragon their fallen comrade. Otherwise he bares the fallen brass on his shoulders with others who will help and brings the brave one to shrine of Bahamut, there leaving the fallen in the care of those following the grand platinum one. He returns soaked in more blood, blood of the defeated foes, blood from healing wounded allies, and now blood from baring a hero of dragon kin and kind. Much to be done and freely so with these humble hands. Even if the fighting is over, this troubled place will know a mortal of the triad was here. So...for the moment at least.... I cast you out oh troubled heart of mine...go forth and return not till in this place ... duty and compassion is met and attended to in full. In this place. In full. ========= OOC: Just gathering all my posts into this thread Quoted from here: frc.proboards.com/post/285696/thread...and Here: frc.proboards.com/post/285969/thread... and lastly Here: frc.proboards.com/post/285986/thread

While waiting for the season to change to resume her planting efforts in the Kings forest, Kali makes several flights to Suzail, clutching a basket of fresh fruits and vegetables in each talon. She leaves the basket at the front door of the House of Healing, and flies off.

While waiting for the season to change to resume her planting efforts in the Kings forest, Kali makes several flights to Suzail, clutching a basket of freash fruits and vegetables in each talon. She leaves the basket at the front door of the House of Healing, and flys off. Such a kindly taloned friend would find a sealed envelope held under a smooth stone where they usually leave their baskets of food. Inside the envelope such a friend would find a measure of children's drawing done up with charcoal pencil and crayon. They are thank you drawings of various skill from various ages, each one of the kindly taloned one carrying baskets of tasty fruits and veggies through the sky. A helmed one of the Hermitage ever watches such an envelope to ensure the sincere thanks of the children are given assuredly despite the duties he also attends to at house of healing with so many displaced in this after math

"I, Elon Dana donate this one platinum bank bar, from my own personal funds on behalf of the Triadic Order, to you who represents the Administration of the Crown here in Suzail for the recoverery effort for Suzail and Hilp in this terrible aftermath of the red dragon Ixamarunmaughzeraph. I pray to the Triad much good can be for the people of this kingdom with these funds."
Elon then hands over the platinum bar to the Crown Administrator in Suzail, of course getting a receipt for such a donation, a safe guard if one of the Administrators falls to temptation of coin.
---
OOC: Many thanks to DM Pandora for taking the Plat Bar form Elon's Invenoty and being my DM witness for the donation and all =D
