A great red dragon is seen flying in from the north east of the realm. Sporadically at first, going on to daily after a ten-day or two.
It circles high, swooping low over less populated towns and forests and casts its shadow over the land, searching.
It always flies off back toward the north east, its looming presence not going unnoticed.

In recent days the great dragon is seen flying high above the western reaches.
On one occasion it lands in Greatgaunt, in its rage it sets Frubo's stage alight before flying off to the north.

Slate having seen a dragon landing in town drops the buckets of milk from his daily charity-for-the-children cow milking and runs beelines to Greatgaunt from the farms. He arrives in town to see Frubo's stage along with his open-air apartment aflame. He looks to the sky and shakes his fist angrily.
He may be heard saying to himself in a very loud volume "I am cursed Waric. My love for charity and my duty as Greatgaunt's official hero have butted heads this day."

Davina heard roumors at lot.
About a red dragon, but then they said, the red dragon was dead already. Davice told her, he defeated a white dragon the last days. The necromancer, whose name she forgot, told about shadow dragons. Gold, silver and a brass dragons....Kathy said, she saw such.
If she would see the dragon over Greatgaunt. Wise enough: She would not try to attack, not want to hunt it. But she would watch the dragon curiously from a distance. What color is this one?

A day after the unit of the Divine Resurrection's ranks arrive to assist in the town's repairs, their grandmaster arrives on horseback to rally his brothers and sisters in faith. He takes some time to administer divine aid upon the wounded and partake in a communal prayer with all who would attend before the unit heads out on the path that leads into the Storm Horns.

In towns and outlying villages, a great gleaming silvery form can be seen flying overhead, not low enough to be threatening, but flying in such a way that he shines brilliantly visible, reflecting the sun's rays in a shimmering coruscation of light. Clearly, it means to be seen.
//OOC, no IC knowledge of the identity of this dragon is given based on the sole fact that it comes from this account.

In the days after the assault on the King's Forest, the great red dragon becomes elusive.
Over the following ten-day, the great red dragon can be seen over the Western Reaches. It flies high over Valkur's Roar toward Greatgaunt. As he approaches the small town he looms low and circles over the Bramblewoods, searching.

The woman on the black horse finds her way into the town of Greatgaunt. She is not hard to distinguish for those that know who she is; she has spent years, upon years, in and out of the town.
She spends a significant amount of time preaching through the town, rarely to more than small groups. Her message is clear:
The dragon is looking for something stolen, be it item or living being. In the King's Forest the dragon made it clear that it will destroy mercilessly until what was taken is returned. Whoever has it has made it clear that your lives, your loved one's lives, your property, and your happiness, -all combined-, is not worth the price of returning this single thing. That is absolute madness. Those that keep hidden what is being sought have already shown they will cast hundreds if not a thousand lives aside for their own zealotry. If you do not wish the same fate upon yourselves as those in Dhedluk faced, you must stand up for yourselves and demand those that hide what the dragon seeks return it. Tell these self-righteous cowards to face the dragon themselves, not to hide behind your innocent lives like necromancers behind their horde of skeletal minions to be crushed as fodder. Demand this of them, demand this of the Crown. Tell the Crown to find those that bring the ire of this beast upon you.
Why do we treat this highly intelligent creature different than we do ourselves? It has been stolen from and instead of enacting just law to return what was stolen, we deem it an enemy and attack it? Is this what you would expect in a lawful and civilized nation that you traveled to? The Crown has failed you by their short-sightedness with their lack of willingness to put forth justice equally. In this case, it is not someone that can be passed off and simply locked up, blaming a poor social understanding, and expecting the well-natured folk to drown out the opposition. This is a hrasting-HUGE dragon that will kill as many of you as it can until justice is corrected. Take your lives into your own hands, be brave, and stand up for yourselves. Demand a different course of action.
The woman would spread this message through the town over the course of a few days.

Marister listened stoically to the woman's rant, which in his mind it was. She had no clue, was not involved and in his opinion acted on hearsay.
As much as he was tempted to correct her, he did not as he as one of the involved, had much on his mind.
Plans were put into motion to try and halt the threat, to even attempt to answer the woman or correct her could put those involved, most importantly, the one, in grave danger.
Let her rant on.

Above the storm horns a white dragon flies into the sky, soon after a great red dragon which could only be Ixamarunmaughzeraph, gives chase. The dragons battle mid air, a vicious fight, until the white dragon succumbs and flies north. The great red close behind.
Word soon spreads across the realm as those who witness the battle recount the tale in the taverns and streets of Cormyr.

A ten-day passes before the white dragon is seen again.
This time, it lurks in the air, high above Eveningstar. It comes and goes from the Stormhorn mountains, paying particular attention to the comings and goings of the keep of the Triadic Order of the Divine Resurrection.

With news of a dragon about, Ahmed makes it a point to travel on routes covered by canopy or some other form of nature.
"Unless this is a contracted agreement with pay... let the 'heroes' deal with it." He would think to himself.

The old white dragon continues to be a menace in the skies. Almost daily it flies over Eveningstar and the Triadic keep just outside of the town. It is tracked by squires of the Triadic Order of Divine Resurrection to the highest peak in the Stormhorns. Activity increases within the keep as they prepare to journey into the mountains.
The great red dragon Ixamarunmaughzeraph continues to make his presence known over the Western Reaches. He frequently approaches Greatgaunt from the south, flying low over the small town and into the Bramblewoods. He circles, searching, staking out the territory, some might say he was unusually patient in seeking his prize. The townsfolk almost become ambivalent to his presence, having seen him fly over so regularly but they have felt his ire before and some townsfolk speak of the woman known a Quirine, wondering who she is, and if the adventuring folk know of her whereabouts. The common folk hear adventurers whisper her name, secrets and lies, and promises of protection alike. None of it helps them rest at night, fearing that they may suffer the same fate as Dhedluk. Morality often comes at a high price of those who can least afford it. There are other voices though, those who champion the cause of what is rumoured to be a silver dragon. If we can not thwart the evils of the world then we are just slaves of tyranny, living in fear of what may be, not what could be.
Only one thing remains certain, though Ixamarunmaughzeraph may be quiet, he is not idle.

Word soon spreads around the realm that a force of kobolds attacked the small town of Tyrluk on the 16th day of Eleint, 1380 DR.
While the townsfolk protected their homes, crops, and livestock the Lord of Tyrluk, Suldag the Boar, was kidnapped and taken to the near by ruins of a former keep.
A group of adventurers went to rescue the lord and after a swift but heavy battle, the kobold force was defeated. However, the half-dragon champion of Ixamarunmaughzeraph, who had been watching the battle from above, flew down in their moment of glory. He delivered an ultimatum to the adventurers. "The Lord of Tyrluk will be returned when the woman known as Quirine is returned to us".
After a short duel, the champion grabbed the Lord and flew into the sky, heading south.

As the Royal Corps of Monster Hunters and their allies prepare to rescue the Lord of Tyrluk the dragon makes his presence known once more.
Having been relatively quiet over the last weeks, the ancient red takes to the skies over the realm. His attention seemingly turned to the capital. He flies high enough not to be deemed an imminent threat but often enough that his presence casts a dark shadow over the peoples of Suzail.
