Standing on a box, the tiny, surreally white figure of Unproven Tasha greets the faithful of the Foehammer as they make their way out of the shrine after attending church services, next to a poster that definitly wasn't there when they headed inside ... though some may have seen it around the city!
As more and more faithful make their way out, the bard priest raises her voice, firm and clear, passion oozing from her words, the clenched fist of her free hand held high to accompany her speech.
Conflict.
Conflict has always been part of life, and proud Cormyr has seen its share of it in recent years, its brave men and women standing valiant against drake and orc, against threat mortal and immortal, alive and risen alike!
And conflict remains part of life.
She lowers and opens her hand to make a wide sweeping motion with it, as if to encompass all of the Forest Kingdom.
The wilds still crawl with savage orc-kin, wicked highwaymen, mighty giants and the most fearsome of monsters! Countless places for those with the courage to raise their weapons for their home to bring down the Foehammer upon the Forest Kingdom’s enemies.
Raising her hand as she speaks, she suddenly brings it down at the mention of the Foehammer, before lifting her gaze once more to look over the audience, a stern expression on her graceful features. The fervour vanishes from her voice, its volume lowering just enough to be noticable.
But does it make a difference?
There are those who fight us not as true warriors would, and we've ignored them too long.
Those who care not for honor, not glory on the field of battle, just craving victory at any cost.
Her voice rises once more, fist clenching again, shaking in tune with the halfling's words.
Once, they lurked in the Reaches, but Cormyr stood tall, and the Stonelands were all that remained for them to retreat to!
But be not fooled – never has the Black Hand lost sight of its goal, of subjugating the people of Cormyr!
The slightest hint of uncharacteristic anger shimmers in her eyes as her voice grows louder.
And yet rather than face us on the field of glory, they send their spies to deceive us!
Leave it to bloodthirsty thugs to sow discord, undermine the crown's authority with ridiculous claims of 'having served their time' when their Banite Masters return them from the beyond just as the law sent them to it!
Send their necromancers to defile our graves!
Supply orcs and goblins to fight their wars, all while they themselves hide in their Fortress, lurking just beyond our reach up north -
Brothers! Sisters in arms!
Raising both arms and voice, she goes for a final push, every syllable dripping with fervour!
The Triad shall not stand for it any longer! The time draws near for our Fellowship to march north, to put an end to the Zhentarim's dream of us bowing to them, once and for all!
In these times, we call upon the faithful of Tempus!
Warriors, raise your blades along ours!
Priests, add your voice to ours!
Ye Faithful, call upon the Lord of Battle!
Shall Veiros ride before us!
Come Cormytes, stride with us, to battle!
