Letter to the Clerk at the Suzail Court

To whom it may concern;

I am seeking out all articles of law pertaining to banned faiths and items pertaining to banned faiths.

Recently in the town of Greatgaunt, I as well as others, have seen a man by the name of Raven brandishing a greataxe with symbols pertaining to the Black Hand. I understand that items such as holy symbols and books of faith are considered illegal paraphernalia and would seek further study into the legality of a weapon which bears the wicked symbol. Carrying the symbol visibly and proudly on his person while wearing the colors of the cult is a clear act of affiliation and undermines the law regarding the banned status of the Black Hand's faith in the Forest Kingdom.

I am requesting the Crown act swiftly or provide legal consent to the Triadic Order of the Divine Resurrection to confiscate the item and examine it. We understand from his own claims that it was acquired by defeating a fiend. The Triadic Order cannot and will not allow the Black Hand, in symbol or cult, to remain unchallenged.

Dear Grandmaster Chrysosnomos:

Thank you for your interest in the Royal Judiciary of Suzail and your message regarding criminal activity within the Forest Kingdom. Pursuant to your recent letter of request, we are hereby responding with the information you requested. Enclosed is a copy of the Steel Regent's Proclamation of Illegal Worship made on the 21st day of Alturiak in the Year of Lightning Storms. This document details the faiths whose practice is banned within the Kingdom of Cormyr. Note that an entire list of demons and devils is not provided as there are far too many to name and many whose names are not yet known in the realm.

Please report any observations of illegal worship to local authorities. For issues of crimes involving the Village of Greatgaunt and territories of its dominion, such as the incident you've indicated, crime reports should be addressed to the Greatgaunt Village Council. If matters are to be escalated to a greater regional or national scale, that escalation begins within local government.
