One midmorning, a silver-haired Elven woman enters the Alizarin Academy and politely asks of any convenient staff-member if she may make use of the library.
If such permission is granted, she settles herself in the seat closest to the fireplace (despite it being summer) and arranges many a blank parchment, ink bottles and a quill or two. She then stands and heads, in turn, to the various book-shelves until she finds a volume of interest. Book in hand, she returns to her seat and begins to study the volume's contents.
Occasionally, she makes use of her own writing materials to make notes either on what she's just read or on her own private thoughts. More than a few times, one of those notes is reconsidered, crossed out and amended - such editings typically preceded by an almost childish chewing on the end of her current quill.
She remains at her task until well past noon. On leaving, she politely thanks the staffer she met on arrival (or asks another to pass on her thanks if he/she isn't available).
Except for those occasions where other tasks or engagements occupy her time, this process is repeated day-in/day-out for at least two rides.
// ... If another character comes across her, the books are all texts on the Common tongue and/or typical Cormyrean social mores. Her notes are a mix of Elven (written in Thorass) and Common.

Mirrir, the red winged Overmistress of Alizarin, in passing would note the figure and take at least a brief moment to introduce herself and ensure that the lady had everything she need and wasn't shy of asking after staff for assistance, noting that if she has any difficulty finding tomes of particular interest that Mister Falstaff, the curator can surely help her if Professer Ismene isn't available.
Her passing though is quick, and while pleasant, with no small sense of econimic haste, with precise words that have her in and out of conversation almost as soon as it's started and on her way to the rest of her daily business.

A small, meek looking woman would approach the woman in her research and ask if she required assistance. She identifies herself as Ismene, a Monk of Oghma and Professor at the Academy.
"May I ask what it is you are researching?"

Riell would look up mildly surprised at both approaches but quickly offer both women a polite smile.
She thanks Mirrir for her suggestions, saying that it's been several years since she was last in the Academy and didn't wish to bother anybody at their own work.
Riell tells Ismene that she's really looking for "the right way to say a few things"; that although she herself speaks Common, she's often misused words. If pressed, she explains the work she's preparing won't be for general publication but will serve a very specific purpose.
"You know, it's funny ... when I was younger, I rebelled strongly at having to stay indoors and study. But I'm rather enjoying this break from all the chaos," she murmurs, startled, as if only just realising it herself.
Her copious (and ever-increasing) pages of notes are spread all over the large, round table seemingly in no particular order. Whilst it would take time to read them all, it would be an easy matter to quickly scan one or two.

"The pursuit of knowledge is very rewarding; I understand your need for research- language is a much more complicated and difficult subject, far more so then many give credit." She tips her head and turns, though she remains in the Library for long periods of time- it seems Ismene serves as a Librarian of sorts.

After many days at work, Riell's notes form quite the pile. So much so, that she actually starts arranging them neatly, taking pains to ensure a specific order.
Approaching noon one day, her routine changes... She stands and stretches, rubbing at her eyes then massaging each hand with the other.
If available, she'd approach Ismene or Mirrir, or another available staff member and ask them politely about the Academy's suppliers of raw materials.

Mirrir, easy to catch on her regular moves to and fro in the Academy is able to provide a succinct list as well as a number of situational specifics as to whom is better to contact for bulk goods or smaller purchases. She cites no costs, but it's easy to weigh the suggestion that she has procured exceptional contracts with the suppliers of the Academy. Mirrir would offer that if Riell has a specific list of things she needs, she could have it rounded up from the Academies supplies, and perhaps pending her project and her willingness to share the results of her studies with the Academy, an arrangement for having the supplies sponsored could be met. Handing over the list, she'd tell Riell to consider it, and ask to be brought up to her office if she wishes to discuss sponsorship further. // if you want to meet ic you can throw me a pm of when you will be on and I will be there
