A familiar figure in an elegant black dress and dark hood enters the shrine to Shar, deposits a few coins, and kneels to pray. Head down and eyes closed, she speaks in sibilant whispers, barely moving for more than an hour, before rising to her feet and quietly exiting.

The woman returns with another, a thin dark-haired woman in necromancer robes. The companion stands and watches while she prays, then they both quietly converse for a time in the dim chamber before leaving.

The woman in the black dress returns for her usual prayer, tossing some gold and gems into the collection tray before kneeling.
"Take me into your arms, dark mistress, let me feel your cool embrace. Numb my heart, fill me with emptiness, hide me in blackness, conceal my thoughts, and bury my secrets. I am myself, and I am no one. I am here, and I am nowhere. I am yours, and you do not exist. We are everything, and we are nothing."
She rises without a sound and departs.
