Charlotte had never been to Marsember before, but a polite request for directions soon has her in the North West corner of the city core, and facing a grand building whose entrance is flanked by ruby banners proudly identifying it as the Alizarin Academy of Bardic and Arcane Lore.
Entering the main door, the scene is one of sound, colour and the bustle of people going about their business. Initially the maze of small interconnected rooms and corridors seems daunting, but quickly she sees a sign to the left of the main hall denoting the library.
Knocking on the door to attract the attention of the person she can see tending to the various tomes and scrolls:
Apologies for the interruption, but I'm looking for someone who can help me find some information on Arcane Lore - specifically the matters of creature summoning and the various items used in that school of Conjuration. Are you able to point me in the right direction please?

A venerable woman in dull brown robes that could have been picked to match the original color of her chin-long, now mostly grey hair introduces herself as Namer Cathryn Ghustilv, librarian of the Alizarin Academy, and directs Charlotte to mistresses Avhoste or Novar. Mistress Novar is apparently expected to be finished with a seminary, shortly. She suggests, Charlotte should try that first. In case that failed, she says, she would be happy to direct her to the literature appertaining to the subject matter.

Card would also happily assist the friendly face with any questions she might have.

Smiling at the quick response and pleased that she had not been rebuffed, Charlotte replies:
Mistress Novar, Tarithel Novar? I have travelled with her before. Thank you, I appreciate your help with this matter. I'll go and find the seminar room and hope to catch her attention thereafter.
And off she wanders, somewhat incongruous in the colours of a Corps Squire, looking at the signs on each doorway for something that signifies a lecture room or similar. She had only really ever talked to two high ranking mages before, Tarithel and the man named Card, so all of the faces here were new to her.
She had no idea where she was going, but it seemed a friendly enough place and anywhere off-limits to the public would certainly be signed or barred as such. Anyway it made a pleasant change to her normal patrol duties; being warm, dry and safe, so she was going to experience as much of the building as she was able.

*Charlotte may have heard the sound of several string, wind and percussion instruments being played from behind the stage in the theatre room. There would be the occasional missed note, which would be corrected by the voice of a teacher. Eventually a string of students would emerge from behind the stage followed their teacher whom they refer to as Master Vennis. He would smile warmly at the corps squire and offer beverages and sustenance if she wished.*

At the sound of the word "Master", Charlotte turned her head and caught the smile and the offer of refreshments.
Thank you Master Vennis, hoping she had caught the name correctly, that is a welcome relief. It is quite the maze you have here.
She sat and took the tea and cakes offered gratefully. Before beginning:
My name is Charlotte Anders, Squire of the Royal Corps.
Charlotte didn't mention Tarithel or Card at this point in time; it would have been rude to use somebody obviously in a position of authority in such a perfunctory manner. And besides, she knew little of the musical arts beyond the dirge of Church School, so if any small opportunity for discussion arose, she would be delighted to learn.
