~ In the late hours, a small figure, hooded and cloaked slips out from behind a supporting pillar. She approaches the attending clergy member and offers him a receptacle bound in a black cloth. ~
"Happened to find myself in possession of this. I'm sure that it contains the trapped soul of a member of Lliira's clergy. I think it is about time that its pathetic notions of joy and careless reveling came to an end. I would like to one day hear its views on such things after it has spent an eternity waiting on our lord."
~ She leaves the receptacle with the cleric. ~

~ A lithe elven woman dressed in long, dark purple robes kneels down before the dark shrine. She presents her own unholy locket and lays it gently before the altar. Next, she takes nine small bottles containing various quantities of blood from a pouch and in turn unscrews each one and pours the contents over the locket. With each bottle she murmers the names of whom the blood belongs and their respective areas of faith including Lliira, Torm, Mask, Sune, and Sharess. Once finished, she lowers her head before the shrine. ~
"I, Netharmirth, your humble servant bring before you the blood of those mortals foolish enough to deny the fear in their hearts, fear for the only true supreme lord. You are unquestionable, the only one worthy of our devotion. I serve you, and you alone. No mere mortal may hold dominion over me, this is how it should be. Each heathen was murdered in your name. Fear and betrayal will forever cling to there souls. It can never be forgotten. It can never be undone.
I cast aside faith in false gods and present myself fully to you, my lord. Lady loss, The lord of thieves, Lady luck, no longer will I pray to them. My soul is yours and yours alone. Let us spread murder and fear across the land together, just you and I.
Long have I searched for a kindred spirit.. at long last, I find it in you, my lord Cyric."
~ She raises her gaze up to the shrine. The hairs on the back of her neck stand tall and an icy cold shiver floods through her skin. The elf hold rigidly still and remains so for several long hours, her wide eyes fixated upon the sinister ethereal skull before her, something only her troubled eyes can see. Its empty sockets seem to pierce right through her flesh, penetrating into her very soul. ~

~ At some ungodly hour in the morning, a small elven woman would sit huddled in the corner of the temple with her fingers tightly grabbing clumps of her black hair. She would scream in apparent agony and pull viciously at her hair for about ten minutes. Anyone who would attempt to interrupt her would be shoved away and be verbally cursed.
Eventually she would quiet down and slowly rise her head up. Her eyes would be watery and red and her cheeks would be flushed pink contracting well against her usual pale white complexion. She would remain quiet for several seconds whilst staring ahead. She would chuckle to herself and wipe the tears from her eyes.
The woman would slowly stand and make her way towards the shrine where she would crouch before it and perform her usual ritual of pouring several small bottles of blood over a holy symbol of Cyric whilst speaking the names of those she would know of along with their respective faiths. ~

Neth would enter the temple of Cyric with a package bound up in bloody rags beneath one arm and a long iron spike in her other hand. She would set the spike against the wall and unbound the package revealing the blooded head of a human female with long flowing black hair. The eyes of the severed head had previously been souped out, leaving two empty sockets in their place.
She would carefully hold the head with both hands, her nails sinking into its cheeks as she squelches it down onto the tip of the spike. Her own eyes would twitch with glee as she does this, her purple painted lips would take on the curl of a satisfied and purely evil smile. She would take a moment to look over the head before carefully rearranging its long black hair, gently running the strands through her finger tips. She would tilt her head from side to side and quietly huff as she examines it.
"Something missing.."
She would fish inside a belt pouch and produce two flawless black gems which she would fit firmly into the empty eye sockets. She would then chuckle softly and lovingly stroke its cheek with a soft tenderness before leaning in and gently pressing her lips against its own. She would then pull back and whisper into its ear.
"Never again will you pay witness to the white light. Never again will you gaze upon the stars. Now, shadow has taken hold and it will never let you go. May you spend an eternity stumbling through the dark."
A dribble of blood would slowly sink down the length of the spike which she would collect up in a small bottle.
Neth would then crouch before the shrine of Cyric and pour the blood over her own holy symbol, muttering the word ...
"Selûne."

Neth enters the temple of Cyric and briskly makes her way to the severed head.
Some time has passed and its flesh now lacks any color to it and it has begun to emit a faint stench. She pokes her fingers in between its pale, dried lips and creaks the mouth open as far as it will go.
She takes her blade from her belt and digs it inside the orifice, severing the tongue and removing it.
She carefully takes a spider cocoon covered in sticky webbing from her pack. The cocoon is slightly larger than a typical chickens egg and life appears to be stirring inside. Her eyes twitch as she shoves the cocoon inside of the waiting mouth.
She closes the mouth and seals the cocoon inside.
Neth then spends some time starring wide eyed at the space above the shrine of Cyric. The hairs on the back of her neck stand at attention. It appears as if there is some sort of unspeakably horrific visage above the shrine, something only her troubled eyes can see.

*a lady clad in silver mithral plate enters the temple* She would note the current stench and give the head on a pike a distasteful glance. However she would not disturb it. After her prayers she would remain in the temple until the keeper of the head returned.

*A small elven woman dressed in a cloth suit with plate and leather segments and spattered with dried blood would enter the temple and gradually pace around it. Eventually she would kneel before the shrine and dribble a single vial of blood over a holy symbol, murmuring something beneath her breath. After this, she would approach the plate cladded woman, dip her head and murmur a greeting.*
Hello.

Interesting decoration you have. A trophy perhaps or does it have a different use besides the great stench it is starting to produce?

One of -those-, you know?
*she glances at the head, seeming to recall something*
She lacked ambition, instinct and even conviction in her own faith. When her time came, she gave up on her goddess.
I tend to embrace the moment and then I move on, but with this one..
*she shakes her head slowly, her eyes twitch*
So, I felt compelled to bring her here and I don't tend to question my impulses.
*she squints her eyes slightly, her expression shows a hint of sourness. Her voice grows cold*
Will remove her soon, but for now she has to stay here with our lord, where we can keep our eyes on her.
*she looks back to the metal clad lady and smiles, seeming to relax*
It's nice to meet you, sister.. you come here often? I'm Netharmirth, though you can call me Neth if you prefer. Hm, I didn't give the smell much thought.. If it's a problem for you, maybe something to combat it? How do you feel about lavender?
*she tilts her head and changes to a curious expression*
What's your name?

We have met once before most address me as the High Voice. However they are all directly loyal to me. I don't mind the *smirks* visitor. I have another who is very adept with the dead she can tend to the smell without effecting whatever you are working on. Is that ok with you? Should please the senses of others passing through as well. Last we spoke I was in my clerical robes not my armor.

*she smiles and dips her head respectfully*
Oh yes, High Voice. Pleasure to meet again.
*she considers for a further moment*
Few thoughts-- I've spent time within a few temples and cells across the lands. This one is by far the humblest and.. neatest.
*she creases a small frown, her voice remains cold and steady*
Where is the great sacrificial altar? The grand hall? As voice, you should be shaping this space into an extension of Cyrics eternal glory. Cushions in the corner? Soft, cozy, and completely inappropriate.
This should be a festering house of his evil.
*she motions to the holy symbol of Cyric*
Something else, I don't need to hear you prattle on about how "directly loyal" everyone is to you. That should go without saying. Feeling the need to remind me of how loyal your followers are every time we speak just makes you appear weak.
*she glances back at the head*
Appreciate you not minding this being here.. *she smirks* ..though I'm not sure why you would, anyway. Don't like the smell? Tsh.. well isn't that so frivolous? Consider.. the rotting flesh of a heathenish wench, here for your followers to see.. an example of what happens to those who don't recognize or obey our one true lord. This is not something for us to tolerate, it is something for us to celebrate.
So..
*she grins, her eyes ablaze with intense passion*
What do you think about that?

I have great plans for this temple and its growth. I remind those who pass through here of my loyal following so they understand the extent of my reach and in doing so don't draw unwanted attention to themselves and our lords temple.
*speaks calmly and with a plain tone*
As you have said there are many cells perhaps and how many still operate within cormyr. How many do you know to walk freely amoungst the sheep we are to convert or slay.
Congratulations you have put a head on a pike and displayed it for our lord. I see the blood and hearts of dragons offered up. This temple reflects its old keeper and is our safe haven. I work strife within this land and need not even leave this temple to do so. Being discovered in this land at this time with our numbers would be folly. I work to strengthen this temple.
As for thee stench I don't mind it at all really, but if it lingers outside these walls. Into the streets so close to our door. Are you going to fight cormyr's guards all alone. This is not some cave in a mountain or deep in the woods. This is our temple standing in there city.
*stands slowly* and if you want a display of my own personal power. *smirks* I can easily give that to you.
*bends before the alter to pray and pours vial after vial of white dragon blood a pone the alter young and old* *muttering to herself* Soon the doors will open and once again a great shadow will fall over this land. *finishes and returns to her soft, comfortable, cushions*

*she flashes an amused grin*
Oh, I expected more from you, Voice. There are so many sheep, it's impossible -not- to walk among them.
You have already told me that you don't hear our lords words directly so.. listen to my words and maybe you'll learn something. Our lord expects us to slay the unfaithful, not dragons.. What do you think we are? Dragon slayers? Malarites? Tsh.. Our lord expects us to offer up the heads of the unfaithful, especially enemy clergy. That is what our lord demands from us. Slaying a dragon might seem a more glorious past time for, let's say.. a.. Tempuran?
*she chuckles*
Perhaps you've spent too long pretending and are actually starting to believe in the Foehammers rhetoric?
Here I thought you were displeased with the stench, when all along you were fearful of the city guard? I see now.. *she raises her brows and fakes a look of fear* Well then, we should move quickly to cover the smell! *sarcastically*
I've already seen your display of personal power, Voice.. you hacked a few ogres up with your sword. It was an impressive display and I'm not questioning your ability to hit things. *grins*
I'm pleased to know that you're still working on your grand scheme, but don't forget your other duties. There is more to being Voice. You have to take responsibility for your followers, the state of your temple and the reputation of our faith. You must work harder to improve our temple, recruit more and build a stronger presence in Cormyr. You talk some, but there isn't much in the way of results. The temple here is small and unworthy of our lord. There is much room for improvement.
How long have you held this post, Voice? Seems our faith holds little respect here and that has to ultimately fall upon your shoulders, doesn't it? I have a report for you from Eveningstar. I hear rumors that one of your "loyal" followers has painted our lords symbol across a burned shack, presumably after setting it alight. I'm not sure what impact he expected that to have but it has invoked mockery in our lord from the populace, mockery led by a certain someone.
She goes by the tag "Ace of Blades", a Tempuran of all things, so I expect you've probably met. She has made a mockery of our lord in a very public way. Are you aware of this? Are you working to rectify it? Or.. are you too busy-- *she breaths in deeply, keeping her eyes on the Voice* --lounging? Then again, I understand that this "Ace of Blades" is quite a deadly combatant herself. If you are afraid of a few city guards then I imagine it would be out of the question to expect you to punish her for her heathenish actions?
*she tilts her head, looking down at the Voice when she sits, raises a questioning brow*

*chuckles* yes kill everyone thats what our lord desires *mocking her words* Let me ask you something before I depart from your sight.
Who suffers from those you kill, what army's go to war or factions fight each other because of thee strife you have woven. Yes some mock his name but are blind to what is being done. You think for a moment burning a building down is not a diversion. Yes they will see it and focus on it and mock it, eventually rebuild it.
Who has been blamed for your little head that sits here. It is not enough to just kill others. They must suffer and others must suffer for it. Strike shall bee felt across thee land. It doesn't matter how is bringing the strife and sewing the chaos as long as our will is behind it. Cyric's will being accomplished at the hands of those clergy you so desire dead.
If you do not fear the guard at all or the ace of blades then you are a stupid little girl indeed. Even our own lord's scriptures state's "Fear and obey those in authority, but slay those that are weak, of good persuasion, or false prophets." "Break not into open rebellion, for marching armies move the false deities to action. Fell one foe at a time and keep all folk afraid, uneasy, and in constant strife." All means are exceptable if they do cyric's will.
So little assassin I ask you once more. What army's or factions fight each other because of your actions. Or do they just seek You. What strife is felt because of your actions or do you just delight in a quick death and torment the remains like a child necromancer.
Think about these words I have other things to attend to. Our lord desires more then just blood and death little Neth. But go ahead challenge the Ace for her mockery. Do exactly what she wants and expose yourself. *chuckles as she steps through the portal*

*A soft whisper of a voice comes from the corner of the room.*
You're faith is outlawed here. If you wish to draw attention to your own temple then do so. Why not invite the guards in to see your work? Everyone already knows who you serve Neth. It's not even whispered in the streets, it's announced.
The Voice is doing her job. There is more then one way to tend to the reputation of your faith, and you seem to not know how to do that, but again that is not your job now is it? As to the followers... Well the voice takes responsibility for that. You, I see becoming a huge problem though. You make to many mistakes. You put yourself in the lime light, and you draw unwanted attention to everyone else. You are not invoking fear dear girl. You're only making yourself hunted, and believe me when I say you will get caught.
If you wish for a better temple then why not donate all those lovely coins your stealing towards a new one? Instead of standing before the voice mocking her?
As to the Ace of Blades. I don't see you doing anything about her. Perhaps it is you that are afraid? You stand in judgement of your Lords voice, yet I see no actions from your part to do anything. Are you afraid to take on a worthy foe or do you just wish to rob and kill those weaker then you who could very well be members of your own faith?
Just because the Voice doesn't put it out there in everyone face and scream hey look at me I'm a follower of the dark sun and I'm oh so evil, doesn't mean she's not tending her duties. I would pick my words wisely child when speaking to the voice. The shadows have eyes and ears. You never know when they might just be listening to you.

*Neth watches the Voice dissepear through the portal, her eyes twitching. She slowly turns back to the shrine and then halts as she hears the whispering from the corner begin its speech. Her ears quickly pick out the general direction of the speaker and she turns to face it. As the speech continues, she lets her lightning fast reflexes take over as she slips a vial of true sight from her belt and downs it within a moment. Her eyes shimmer as they pierce the magical veil of whom ever hides within the shadows. She approaches the speaker and interrupts his/her speech*
Hello. Would you like to chat?

// My char obviously wouldn't just stand there whilst someone in invisibility gives her a speech without drinking a true sight potion. Until that bit is cleared up I can't respond to that character.
*Neth turns back to the Voice.*
You're back, shall we continue our conversation? You left rather abruptly before..
So, kill everyone? Mhm, everyone who's a heathen, anyway. *grins*
You asked me which armies my actions have brought to war? Again, your Tempuran colors show, Voice. You -don't- follow the Foehammer and you -don't- encourage war. Remember, fell one foe at a time.
*she glances back to the head and flashes a cruel smile*
Also, believe me that this one suffered greatly.. and her past lover suffers still.
Your notion that the stench of this head is somehow going to bring the guard down on us is ridiculous and no, I don't fear the guard or the Ace. I fear one thing, the Black Sun.
You suggest that I challenge the Ace? What.. to a duel? Well, that would be the Tempuran way of handling it, wouldn't it? I won't challenge her because I won't stand a chance in a fair fight.. certainly not alone. But you, with all those "loyal" followers and "powers" at your disposal? Well, you are the Voice aren't you? Act like it.. do your job. *she smirks* Our lord has been degraded and insulted on your watch.. if that doesn't motivate you into action I'm not sure what will.
You're easily riled, Voice.. Think about what I've said and realize that despite the fact that I'm not buttering up my words for you, I am actually trying to help you. *smirks*
Simply by speaking with you I can see that you're confused over our lords teachings.. you will defend yourself of course and try to belittle what I've said.. that's fine, I expect it.. you have an ego to please. Still, I hope that at least some of this has gone in, and I'm not completely wasting my time with you.

*would chant to increase her strength and draw fang bathing herself in acid* * a rage apone her face* I have tolerated enough of your snake like tongue. You who has done nothing to favor more then yourself in our lords name. *would reach out and grab her up *strength between 24 and 27* you will not preach to me what I shall do. *pinning her to a wall* (( acid shealth about her would do 22 to 30 damage if she struggled back and actually struck her ))
It is not our task to draw our own blades against a foe that already has others to draw them for us. We sew strife and illusion. Point those blades in the right direction and let the armies march against one another. We wait for the chance to strike silently without a trace and when a head does roll from someone's shoulders there is someone to take that blame. Fuel to the fire. You are not one of my own circle. You are a stray who acts alone without regard to your lord or his temple. Your actions do not bring strife they enlighten others to who you are. The finger is pointed where not at those we wish to she destroyed. They are pointed directly at this church.
*would throw her to the floor and calm herself sheathing the black blade of dragon bone* I will not tolerate being mocked in this house. You are free to do as you will long as it doesn't hinder myself or the dark lords plans. But if you challenge me I will remove you. *still visibly annoyed* Do I make myself clear.
Before you act think about who is to be blamed for your actions. Who will believe that blame. who will fight each other and how that will bring strife. There is am army of the triad in this land willing to do our work for us if we only give them a reason to do it. But that same army will eradicate this church from this land if you bring anymore eyes apone us.
The ace of blades you say. *laughs* you will kill her *spits on the floor* I have seen her skill and have seen her friends you alone even while she sleeps would fail to hit your mark. I will not reveal myself and the entire church to kill just one tempurian. what point would it prove. the traid and all about her would be a wave against us we would stand alone.
IS THIS WHAT YOU DESIRE. OPEN WAR WITH ALL OF CORMYR. Choose your next words carefully.

Two women speak and then an anonymous man speaks and a third anonymous man who is ofc Fenix. Turns out that the anonymous person never spoke because one of the women chugged down a potion of true sight and interrupted speaker number two from ever speaking and then speaker number three who is ofc Fenix would probably also be interrupted but we can't know for sure if he ever got the chance to speak.
An antagonized woman priestess returns and emotes a one-sided combat against the other woman who later gets an OOC complaint about godmodding and then the other woman overrides the combat by saying she escaped.
This is an explanation for those confused of all the overrides.

// On the one hand it's not very elegant but on the other hand my character obviously wouldn't just stand there and let all this happen without lifting a finger. Basically real life isn't turn based and if we're mature and respectful of each other then we can get through it and suss out what would have happened logically without any godmodding. I took those posts as what the typer wanted to have happen but then every action gets a reaction. I hope people understand and appreciate that and realize that my "overrides" were necessary here. The alternative is that my character just stands there frozen in time whilst everyone has their way with her. It wouldn't happen that way and we all know it. <3

*upon hearing of this, Neth enters the temple in disguise and delivers a message to Holando, the resident cleric with a request that her wishes be made clear to the faithful*
Brothers and sisters, read my words and understand. Our Voice has revealed herself to be too weak to reside over us. Her skewed vision of our lords teachings has led to this uprising and in turn, her own downfall. I have discovered that she had planned to betray us all by aligning our church with that of Banes. Thus I have done my duty in the name of our lord and prevented this from ever coming to pass by ending her life.
I am not clergy and I never had any intention of claiming the position of High Voice. I am merely a loyal faithful who saw weakness, ill choices and heathenish action from our former leader. I freed us from this blasphemy and opened the gates for those with the ambition to claim this title for themselves. For now, I offer my support to our priest, Holando. May he follow our lords teachings to the letter and never lead us astray. If another wishes to claim leadership over this cell, by all means act as your ambitions direct. If you are to claim this position and follow our lords teachings correctly, you will earn loyalty from all our faithful, myself included.
May the black sun rise upon a glorious new era..
