5. What We do in the Shadows: Yeah, techincally it was released to a limited audience in 2014 but it got a wide release in 2015 so I'm dropping it on my list. (Let's be real, there haven't been a HUGE number of really amazing movies this year). This hilariously dark, gory mockumentary about a bunch of vampire roomies in New Zealand really surprised. Cleverly written, well acted and neetly shot as far as mockumentaries go, What We Do in the Shadows provides a fun new story on modern vampires with the classic vampire powers/weaknesses. One of my favorit movies right now. I love the movie, because it provides a nice, funny, and believable twist on how it really might be to be a vampire in a modern world.

This should be fun too, to relive a childhood classic I'm totally psyched about this movie. The trailer is awesome. I'm really hoping this doesn't turn out to be another cinderella or Malificent.

The book is a collection of stories and a classic. I recommend "Kim" too, that's another one by Rudyard Kipling that was also adapted into a film. Makes me wonder if they are planning a remake of that as well.

Hey! Both were done really well!! I am no Cinderella fan, blah on the happy endings!! But I really liked Maleficent! I am hoping they will do a sequel. As far as Jungle Book, everything I have seen it looks exceptional. Looking forward to it, very nostalgic! On a somewhat related note, I was talking to my 6 year old son the other night and gave a huge exhausted sigh saying "It's almost October do you know what that means?" I was expecting he would blurt out Christmas in a very excited manner, because that what I was thinking! Instead my son said, "Yes Dad that means the Star Wars movie will be here!!"

You raised him well Grozer haha. Seeing as how my favorite disney employee chimed in, any chance you can give us an update on Beauty and the Beast? I kid! I know you can't say anything. Keep up the good work over there. From your #1 supporter (on most things) CG

Also.........I saw Everest last night. Good movie guys and gals, I highly recommend it. I just saw it with the daughter on Saturday. I read the book Into Thin Air, on which the movie is based, many years ago. Of course the movie doesn't go into too much depth with the characters the way the book does (and leaves a very notable person from the book completely out, which surprised me), and has to condense the events some, but it was very thrilling and also very sad.

Im eager to watch this movie, the book was so cool! Jensmann and I went and watched this yesterday. We didn't really expect much of it, not having the read the book, and only decided to go on a whim seeing it get recommended by a reviewer whose opinion I generally share. Ended up really enjoying it, and can only recommend this one for all ya nerds. EDIT: *high fives Dobian* Yay timing!

First let me start off that I grew up a HUGE warcraft fan. I played the game since Warcraft 1 came out and continued playing the games religiously up until a few years ago.
If I am to give this trailer a 10 for amazing and a 0 for how crappy it looks, I'm going to give it a giant fart sound *insert fart sound here*. If Hollywood is going to continue on with it's current formula of giving away the majority of a movie's story line in trailers, then this looks like a giant pile of horse apples and I really hope that a re-edit is in the works. God I hope they don't release this movie.
Edit:
I thought I should add that now I'm more excited with the angry birds movie than this pile of hot garbage.

I stopped playing Warcraft right after The Frozen Throne epxansion haha. As for the movie, it is not really surprising that it seems so bad. Most movies addaptations that video games get are awful and not even related to their source. Now, if Blizzard ever makes a Starcraft2 movie, with actors instead of CGI I would probably watch it just because... ehh I don't know, I suppose marines fighting Zerg/Protoss would look more badass than orcs and panderns and every silly race they created in WoW.

The Illidan and Arthas storylines are pretty awesome. Infact most of the storylines that lead up to the end of the lich king are really good in my opinion. HOWEVER! - Starcraft's story is simply far better. It's not nearly as cheezy, the Rainer/Sarah Kerrigan story arc is merely a side story to the overall story involving the terran vs Protos vs Zerg. It would make a much better movie in the sci-fi genre than Warcraft would in the fantasy genre. Starcraft less characters that have a deeper arc than warcraft and people can relate to that more. Warcraft is just too big and its characters are too many to all add in a 2 hour movie.

But to be fair, I would rather see Blizzard announcing that Starcraft Ghost development has been resumed.

If you guys like Roger Moore James Bond movies, you'll like Spectre. I however, am not the biggest fan. Watching Spectre made me want to curl up on the couch and watch Casino Royal and Skyfall again. I get what they were trying to go for here, but it just wasn't for me. My father however, royally enjoyed the movie. This could possibly be one of those "either love it or hate it" movies.
