Warning you about summoning foci.

By the Crown of Cormyr the creation and use of undead has been outlawed for some time.
It has been noted that lately, many items are emerging that can be used for summoning and using creatures, some of these items summon undead, and call upon the powers of necromancy.

As such we warn you not to use these items, and risk breaking the law.

Some of the items commonly used are found in and around Greatgaunt, they are:

Dollmakers ring, an item commonly found to be confusing. These rings are imbued with the powers of necromancy, and summon an undead creature the size of a small doll. They are not small golems or constructs, they are unliving creatures.

Nighthound amulet, the hounds summoned by this amulet too are unliving creatures, and break the law by their use.

If you come into contact with these items, or others that may be used to summon, create, or use the undead, it is recommended that you dispose of them, that they are not still able to be used. Giving them to a goodly cleric or paladin, or taking them to the druids in the temple of Silvanus is a safer way to ensure their removal.

If you have any concerns as to the nature of a magical item, and it's use it is always wiser to not use it. Magic is dangerous and can be hard to control.
If you have witnessed the creation, or use of undead please do not hesitate to report it to the Red Ravens in Greatgaunt.

When Mirrir strolls past and notes the articles, she issues one of her little "hmhms"

She spends a moment pulling a thick book from her belt, flipping through the pages to study something within.

Then taking out a featherless quill from her belt, she leans over the notice and with meticulous care adds several highly detailed drawings along the side of the parchment, depicting the typical appearance of the described amulet and ring. Under the etchings she adds a stylized "M.T".

This notice is re-penned to fix any fading and retacked to be prominent. An additional note is added:

The Church of the Beastlord shall actively hunt and pursue undead and their sources - ignorance is not an acceptable excuse.
Ware those that would use such creatures, those caught tainting the woodlands will suffer the consequences and be returned to the Crown for judgement.

* A man in dark plate covered by a set of wizard robes that's been modified into a long coat. A large blade made of bone slung over his shoulder reads the now aged parchment and chuckles to himself*

" Oh my ... things do seem to be interesting when even these minor tools are deemed a hazard. To much has changed in three years too much."


* He dusts the sign off and ensuring it is tacked in the corners and clear for all to view as he does his coat opens revealing the emblem of a skull wreathed in blue and green flames emblazoned on his chest piece.*

A dark wizard in black strolls by the post, stopping to read it. "hmm.. Interesting". He coughs holding his bags closer to him. Seems a bit nervous stuffing away most likely things of that nature. "they'll have to find me first.."
