High Ambassador to Cormyr, Yaston of Thay,
Besides my usual studying, checking in at the Enclave and talking to the usual people, I encountered a rather unique man by the name of Caleb. We traveled for a day, and the next day we decided to make a more permanent arrangement. Since then I have met all of the following: A woman named Deja, a sorceress. Bel, a woman of the divine. And Caleb, a "mercenary." We formed a little group, nothing very large, a small adventuring group persay. We call ourselves the Crimson Blades, I suppose, that is the name Caleb chose to call it. While we're not members of an organization, we work with each other and not for someone in particular. It suits me just fine, they can lend their services on my climb to power, and my research. I write this because it is of note to keep track of this:
Today, we laid assault on a Keep, the Zorastryls. We approached the keep with caution, however dispatching the Undead with relative ease. I kept Caleb well enchanted through to the end, though it may not have been needed for this particular trip. I had a look at their private library, finding information useful to me for my experiments. However, Lady and Lord Zorastryl were not pleased to meet us, and attacked. From what I gather, they are Vampires. They have Bonebats serving them, Hounds, and blood pools. Rather obvious, I'd say. What is my concern is they had a very nice statue made of a giant hound, made of stone and gold, smooth, really nice looking I'd say. However, it was from Yaphyll, and this may be a problem. They didn't want to share wine and let me browse their library, so we took them out. Being Vampires, they are no doubt going to wake up non-too-happy about what just transpired. I "borrowed" a few books.
Thus, if you hear anything from them, extend both my most sincere apologies, and thanks.
-Joran Fezim.
// I'm cool with the idea of vampires coming back for revenge or something. Posting this so DMs are aware of what transpired and hoping for RP regarding it.
